Central wins.

Too many athletes and speed for Belfry to deal with..I'll take Central.

I'm sure Belfry is a great team, but I can't see Central losing. Central is just so quick to the point of attack that its very hard to consistently move the ball on them, I think Belfry can have some early success but Central will adjust and shut them down. If Belfry is to win they'll need win the turnover battle and get their points early and play superb defense...

I think people are drastically overlooking an experienced Belfry team, in particular a Belfry run defense every bit as good if not better than the group who stonewalled Central last year.

 

I can understand the notion of picking Central until someone knocks them off, but I can't see the argument of " too much speed " or Central scoring more on Belfry then they managed against Wayne Co, Bell Co, or Monroe. This Pirate team IMO is unquestionably the second best 3A team as they have essentially been the past 5 years.

 

I see a physical defensive struggle with very few posessions and a rapidly moving clock.

We'll see. I wouldn't be surprised to see this one get away from Belfry in a hurry.

For the record; Heard Cox missed practice Monday of last week. He is not hurt. The Sophomore RB (Beason) is the back-up and out preformed Cox in practice the rest of the week. Question should be why in the world has he not played up until now. Could both of them be in the back field this week? Also, expect the QB Gibbs to be back to full speed.
