2A and 3A was very close; Cooper played Bowling Green far better than I expected. Either way, programs need to do what they need to for putting themselves in better position.

I couldn't be prouder of what the Cooper Jags did. This afterall is for the kids, not for blowhards living their life through teenage boys.

 

I wouldn't of traded the thrill of my boy getting to play in a state championship for anything. Whether it was a 60 pt blowout or a 2 score loss, doesn't matter to me. My boy got to play in the state championship game and that is what matters, not whether you and others think its a waste of time.

 

With that said, congrats to each and every kid who got a chance to chase your dream. Win or Lose it is something special and don't let anybody tell you anything different.

But the increase to 6 classes has made it easier - not harder - for the traditional powerhouses to keep piling up titles.

HHS might win 19 out of the next 20.

I just get tired of the same old talk about blowouts in 1st round etc and super class etc. Its just how the game goes.

 

There will be somone sometime that beats a perenial winner and when it happens it only makes it sweeter is all.

 

I have no issue with how it is now. If it were to change then there would be as many people finding something else to complain about. I think that's my entire point. No matter what there will always be complaints.

As long as Mueller is at Highlands and Beatty is at Trinty, i cannot envision a scenario where they lose in the title game. The trophy will be their's as long as they are coaching there

Fairview, Cooper and Collins made it for the 1st time.. Caldwell Co hasn't been to the finals since 1998 and I don't recall PRP being there in a long time, maybe ever, so, that's 5 of the 12 teams that were new faces to the Finals.. Granted none of those won their games, but, still accomplished alot just getting there.. You're going to play a good team when you make it this far, so, it's hard to win it.. Last year, Hazard won it for the 1st time, Glasgow was there for the 1st time in a long time, Cov HCross made it's 1st appearance and won it all, FSimpson was there for the 1st time in several years, Anderson Co was also a newcomer and I'm not sure if Scott Co has ever been there, certainly not alot, so, there was 6 new faces last year.. Your complaint is basically wrong because there are alot of new faces stepping up, the problem is, each class has 1 traditionally dominant team in it and it's going to take a very special team to knock one of them off, but, it's my belief that these kids on the teams that aren't usually there would want it no other way. They want to play the best to claim being the best, unlike some of the posters who choose to complaim here..

Highlands and Trinity have 44 of them. Even if we had less classes they likely would still both have 20 or more plus titles apiece.

exactely. You make less classes and guess what, the same couple teams keep winning the titles. So what difference does it make if you have 6 classes or 4 classes or 2 classes or 1 class?

 

Another reason all this type of talk is silly. Even with a so called elite class, the same 1 or 2 teams will be battling it out every year and that would make it even more boring.
