  1. The Saturday games work well with what the varsity coaches want done. By playing Saturday morning the varsity coaches can take the varsity players and go over film without the distraction that 50 more players can bring. The 50 JV players get valuable game time and everybody is back for practice Monday after school. While it can be a burden when having to travel it really does allow for a much more complete practice on Monday.
  2. So let me get this straight. 6 beat 5, 7 beat 6, and 8 beat 7. Sounds about right, another crazy year in NKY.
  3. Not nearly as difficult to fit these guys as you are making it out to be. Their helmet and shoulder pad sizes are on file. As equipment comes in they simply fit the right equipment to the right player starting with your 1's and working your way down.
  4. Their uniforms only had smoke and water damage. They have been sent to a company to clean them in time for the game tomorrow.
  5. My son just came home from walk throughs. Equipment is coming in from schools all over NKY. He has already been fitted for Helmet & shoulder pads. I hear they plan on wearing all the helmets as they are, with the team stickers on them to show appreciation of the different schools coming together to support them. Lots of shoes, gloves and under armor lost that can all be replaced. The personnel stuff, some of them have had in their lockers or they have wore every game day is what can't be replaced. Thank goodness for no injuries.
  6. I agree with this 100% but the flip side is that you put the ball in Drew Moore's hands more often and the kid is a playmaker.
  7. What a great night for a football game. I will be there early probably in the parking lot. As for the game depth wins out in a hotly contested game. SK 27- Dixie 17.
  8. The minute I read the email I knew HHS had found a way to lock up RCC9 and apparently 75 Center as well. All kidding aside, I wouldn't expect anything less from the HHS community, job well done guys.
  9. Yes Hrusto or something like that. He has missed the last 2 weeks with a bad back I believe. Both he and the Carmondy kid are pretty good kickers.
  10. SK has half the varsity Soccer team on roster I think. Not really but they have used 4 different soccer players this year. Injuries mainly in Soccer have caused the revolving door at kicker.
  11. To each his own. I have no problem with the starters being in the first possession of the 4th up 4 scores in a game that was a 3pt game at half.
  12. That score started the running clock and there were nearly 10 minutes left at that point. SK played their JV from that point on, while CC left in their starters. This was confirmed when I talked to a CC parent and a friend of yours at the JV game. He was wondering why CC didn't pull their starters when SK did.
  13. Tore his ACL the last week of AAU.
  14. Shooting is definitely their big question mark. If they can find a consistent shooter they should be pretty good. The question is where the shooter comes from, either an existing varsity player that worked hare over the summer and improved or someone steps up from the JV. They have several sophomores that can shoot it very well, but will they be ready to do it at the varsity level? The injury to JC Hawkins hurts in that regard as he was one of the freshman that played JV last year and can shoot.
  15. 4 ints is tough to overcome but I have seen that StX D firsthand and I have to give them some of the credit. Curious, if you were to move them up how far would you go?
  16. Thought it was closer than that. If St X did win by that many, I would have a problem moving them up much higher than where they are.
  17. What was the final score between Bryan Station and Louisville St X?
