  1. This is a good question for some of the X guys to answer as they will have played both SK and PRP. I would say if the game is very tight maybe keep them above SK but if it's more than a score they need to fall below. I wouldn't think there is anymore than a single score difference between X and SK on a neutral field and yes X would be the favorite.
  2. What on God's green earth would have anyone scared of Highlands right now? Freshman scores?
  3. SK hasn't been bounced in the first or second round in at least 5 years. Scott CO's state title came after playing one of their weakest schedules ever and people were saying the same things about them as they are about SK. As for ranking one over the other I don't really care but just playing a good team doesn't warrant a higher ranking you eventually have to win one.
  4. Star 64 game of the week. Game is on local TV live
  5. Since 2017 is the first year of a two year contract, I'm going to say you are probably wrong.
  6. Shearer with 4 passing TDs and 2 rushing.
  7. Doesn't change the constraints put on them by the school board. It can be done it just takes more organization and money.
  8. The problem with SK staying over night is the same problem and why Scott HS never stayed over night at the sweet sixteen. It is KCSB policy to have two administrators accompany the team and have an adult chaperone in each room. I do believe Scott got to spend the night after their loss in the semi's but no time before that.
  9. Cam's read option ability is perfect for Wofford's option style offense. They only throw about 10 times a game. I would be shocked if he is moved from QB. His ability to read run or pitch will be a strong suit for him.
  10. East squad just lost Kincaid and Kreidenweis as the SK baseball team just one the 8th region.
  11. Heard over the weekend that Casey Mitchell and Markie Rider of SK have been added to the East Side.
  12. Morehead plays in the pioneer league, no one in that conference gives athletic scholarships for football.
  13. Congratulations to Sam. Very good young man who will have the best interest of the kids first.
  14. I know Carter, Kincaid, Mitchell Kreidenweis, and Vance are, not sure of any others. Word is Racke is headed to Wofford right after his HS graduation.
  15. I think this is last year's. SK kids were told they would be practicing at Campbell County and playing for Campbell's head coach.
  16. Does anyone know which teams will be on the east and on the west? I heard there may be a shake up this year.
  17. He didn't own one that had sleeves.
  18. Agreed that's why there are classes in Football. Sheer numbers, larger talent pool and more bodies at off season conditioning are all big advantages. SK is still finding their way to sustained success at the highest level. If there program has improved the way a lot of people think it has it they should be playing like teams.
  19. That was then this is now SK handled a much better CAL team last year by 4 scores I would think it may be close at half but SK should pull away. Never say never though.
  20. Missed opportunity to improve the schedule
  21. Congrats Jake well deserved
  22. I would think the lure of open enrollment in Kenton County may appeal to several of the Boone County coaches. Not sure if any apply but I would think they would at least give it a glance.
  23. As I said in the post, to me it's a cultural thing. You can't continue to lose all the kids they have over the last 3 years and be successful. Fire Inside said if the kid loves the game he should play in spite of a program deficiency. That may be true but it is in no way a way to build a long term successful program. If Steiner can change the culture, more power to him, if not they need to find someone who can. The kids that are there are playing hard and playing together the problem is that over the last 3 years they have lost to many basketball kids. Yes most also play football but the kids I mentioned in the above post were all brought up through the AAU system. They have been playing basketball since they were 6 or 7 years old. That many kids don't just lose interest in the game.
