  1. Have I heard right, both of those young men play both ways? If so that may be a concern if Campbell County can keep it close.
  2. This seems like a good question for HHS fans since they are the only ones that have played both Campbell Co and Cov Cath
  3. I would move Cambell County ahead of Cov Cath and Beechwood. Remeber they are the same team that played HHS to one score.
  4. C'mon over I'll have plenty of muscle to keep you safe. It should be a good game. I look for considerably more emotion and energy out of the boys in blue. I am quite sure this will be a very spirited week of practice.
  5. This is very true. For what it's worth I do think Ryle makes major strides in the next two years. I am just not sure how far that takes them.
  6. Ryle's junior and sophomore classes are the ones thought to be loaded. Not sure what Ryle looks like at the JV level. They play SK JV Saturday so I guess we will know after the outcome of that game.
  7. HA!!! I knew one of the C's in RCC9 stood for "can't tell the truth." I give you a chance to step away from the propaganda machine and what do you do? Fumble. There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance and it was around 7 to 10 points, certainly not 21. Steak is on RCC9 in 2015.
  8. Forget all this pucky about who ran the score up on who. If you don't like it stop somebody. I never have a problem with someone scoring with their 2s or even leaving their 1s in if the other team refuses to pull theirs out. What I want to know Mr. RCC9 is how a game between last year's SK and HHS teams would have played out. How objective can you be? Here is your oppertunity to point out all the ways HHS is better. Please take into account that HHS dominated CC earlier in the year, SK beat Collins earlier in the year, HHS's trouble in covering recievers last year, the comebacks HHS gave up and even the loss in the playoffs to Butler by SK. Can you be honest and unbiased?
  9. How many of the sophs for Ryle are getting meaningful varsity minutes? I know the junior class has a lot of talent in front of them but you have to figure some of those kids are getting playing time.
  10. Quit being lazy and come judge for yourself. They play Campbell County in a few weeks, come on out and watch. If you want to meet beforehand I will even have an adult beverage or two for you. I can just add those to the dozens you already owe me.
  11. I agree with all of this, we just disagree on timing. When the current schedule was made you couldn't find a handful of people that thought they were serious contenders for a 6A title. Now there is a wagonload of pioneers that believe and next years schedule represents that. There was a ton of skeptism when the last schedule was made. SK falls back to the pack now that Miles Simpson and Chad Lawrence have graduated. Heck I even remember one of your HHS brethren picking them to go 6-4 in the regular season last year. It doesn't matter because this year plays out and then we get to see things played out on the field.
  12. I have known RCC9 for a long time and I know the Bluebird glasses he wears can blind him sometimes but I also know he truly believes what he is saying. While you and I somewhat disagree with the timing of beefing up the schedule, all 3 of us agree that next years schedule is a great fit for this team. I also know that his dream scenario would be for SK to win the 6A state and have their only loss of the year be to HHS. I can hear it now best in the state regardless of class bring on Alabama. He is feeling all euphoric right now just thinking about it. I also know for a fact that he sees SK rising fast and being fully capable of competing with and BEATING his bluebirds. He don't like it and he ain't going to admit it but that doesn't change the fact that he feels it. That is exactly why he and I are working on a nice friendly gentleman's agreement.
  13. Since you didn't give me examples of someone who did it your way and you hate the Ryle comparison, I will give you another local team that got caught up in scheduling and killed the interest in their program. HC started from the ground up with softer opponents and gradually increased their schedule. They won a state championship, and then got greedy. They put SK back on their schedule along with Cooper Conner and beechwood. They now have zero out of district wins and their program is suffering. Just because SK is a 6A school does not mean that the students and community can't lose interest in a program, just look at their first 50 years of existence. The reason everyone uses Ryle as a comparison is because they were in a place very similar to SK just a few years ago. We all no there were other issues going on but how many of those were caused by the over zealous schedule? That is a question that none of us will truly be able to answer. I totally agree with a couple of very challenging games on your schedule but 2 years ago NCC, Conner, & Cooper would all have been thought of as challenging games. No one predicted the level of separation between SK and these teams and this years schedule suffers because of it. For the record HHS is definitely on the schedule but I believe Bryan Station not Cov Cath is the other team next year.
  14. Ok I will bite give me some names and don't even try NCC or Cov Cath, or HHS. None of these programs were ever in the disarray that SK was in and that includes on the field and off. Name me the team that had 5 winning seasons in over 50 years of football that just up and started scheduling way over their heads and became a state power.
  15. 26-0 SK 1:30 2qt. Winkler 13yd TD reception.
  16. 20-0SK 6:39 2qt. Dillon Powell 12 yd run
  17. 14-0 SK 10:36 left 2nd qtr. Dillon Powell 25 yd run
  18. Scott will have both SK and Dixie on the schedule next year.
