  1. No, officiating did not change the outcome of this game. The refs did have a rough game, but it went both ways. On the play referred to in the Guru's original question, forward progress had clearly been stopped and the whistle was being blown as the ball was knocked out. Yes, my vantage point was that good.....
  2. For a school the size of Henderson Co, an awful lot of kids were playing on both sides of the ball. They ran out of gas.... I would say the pick in the 3rd quarter when they were moving the ball completely changed the flow of the game.
  3. Tremendous work ethic to walk on at a SEC program & earn a starting opportunity. Now he needs to step it up a notch as UK's competition gets a little better after UT-Martin & Ohio U. Best Wishes Cole!
  4. Cincinnati, especially GCL football is a different world. Every few years the best of NKY could play with the better Cincy teams. It is rare. It would be just as rare that a NKY kid would be able to secure a starting spot on a roster like the Crusaders this year.
  5. I'd Love To See SK Bring It Home!
  6. Big congratulations to all these young ladies! Extra Proud of the 5 that spent time working with me before the season starte!! We'll Done.
  7. Game Recaps, Scores??
  8. I know Boone didn't have much to cheer about this year, But O-Lineman Alfie Allen just picked up a very nice package to attend Pikeville & play for the Bears!! Congratulations.
  9. Never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
  10. All I can say is: The Older I Get, The Better I Was. That's my story & I'm stickin to it.
  11. Why does the dude have to be from Buffalo???? :idunno:
  12. Aaron's older brother is taking him out to dinner Thursday night for some family advice time..... The younger brother may be in a leg cast on Friday morning. The above comment is a JOKE, don't get all crazy.....
  13. I would say embarrassing would be showing a replay of the kid taking a leak by the fence at halftime....:lol2: As a side note on the facility: Locker rooms in the future? Home team had quite a hike to get to the field, Visitors are in the end-zone??? PA system TOO loud during the breaks. Be entertaining, don't make us deaf. Hopefully these will be addressed in future plans?
  14. Apply to the KHSAA.... 5th year senior - injury redshirt. Tough break for a fine young man & a program that was looking to his leadership.
  15. Excellent read. Anyone that played a sport in High School can relate. Took me back to my playing days.
  16. Can't be #1 until you beat #1. It's been a long time since a team from Kentucky has beaten T.
  17. Not good news. Who steps in?
  18. Looking forward to watching Boone play this year. I would expect them to take a little time to gel, but get better every week. It will be an exciting up-tempo team unlike anything the Rebels have ever played.
  19. A little competitive training session with Boone County O-Lineman And CCH D-Lineman. Good chance they will line up against each other at some point on August 23. [video=youtube;o-Jq0nvcG_U]
  20. Better for this to happen in July rather than September. Tough kid, he should be fine when it counts. Next man up, the team will have to improve to fill the void early on.
  21. I think the issue with Henderson is the travel for a Friday night game. That is a long time on a bus to get off and perform. Without travel, I would absolutely pick CCH. With travel, it becomes a guess.
  22. Yes, absolutely, which is why at this time it is all speculation and why the games are played.
  23. I just answered your question. Why would a CCH parent NOT think 8-2 or 7-3? With last years record, players returning, quality players replacing those that graduated, there is no reason not to be confident in a strong season. I would be amazed if anyone associated with the Cov Cath program would expect anything less that 8-2, possibly 7-3 with Henderson County being an "unknown".
  24. Yes, apparently you are crazy. Going in to any season, you expect the best from your team. CCH has every reason to expect a strong season. No one is going to not play the games. You are entitled to think that 5-5 is the best they will do. And then the games will be played. I guess the players should go into the season expecting to go .500 on the year. They should probably back out of the Moeller and Highlands games now, and then not even bother with the trip to Henderson County. Probably need to forfeit the Holmes and Harrison County games as well.
