I heard from someone who was at this game that these two teams both play a very similar style of basketball. I have seen both teams play this year one time against other opponents and I would have to agree. I think this style allows both teams to compete at a higher level with teams that may be more talented then them. What are some other takes on this style... and I am not interested in reading a bash fest on coaches, I'm just a true basketball fan interested in 9th and 8th region basketball. Can Gallatin continue to have success in the 8th and can Grant turn it around in the future with this play?

How have these two teams played four times? You don't see that very often.

I am sure that conner has a great coaching staff. By no means have they given up on the team. If you think about that statement it doesn't even make good sense. Chances are that all of the grumbling is from the lack of performance at the level of expectations the pre-season polls put on the team. When expectations are not met (realistic or not) the average fan does not understand the game enough to know that there are ways of handling the situation. All they know is expectations are not being met and someone must be blamed. It is not thier little Jonny.

This was a great game to watch, both teams are very solid teams and could be standing on top in a couple of weeks.

This indeed will be one of the top match-ups of the season. ...speed vs size. IMO this sums up the match-up for Holmes and Boone. Could see one come down to who hits shots from the foul line at the end.

Lets be real, if any coach reaches the success of either coach K or Bobby Knight at the high school level that schools parents should be tickled. I know I am.

I also know the Great Billy Clyde and was one who had no clue how great a person he was untill I got to know him. Lets be positive and not judge a book by its cover.

I agree, the 8th is wide open and many teams could win. Spencer has a nice team and a good coach to boot.

Grant and Owen both played man to man defense all night. Both teams play extremely hard and yes Grant fouled at the end of the game when they needed to. Owen did a good job of putting this one away from the charity stripe.

This was a great game from both teams the whole way out. Grant did not take advantage on some key possessions late in the game and Owen County hit shots when they needed to. Owen County has a great club and I expect to see them do good things in the post season.
