I agree on the side of hargett being athletic. But wow is he soft. -

I feel like the vasity team has some quality young players... but after that I am not seeing much. Not trying to take anything away from the kids who work hard. Im only saying that the JV and freshman teams are not very solid squads. That is to be expected though when your two best players in the program are sophmores and playing varsity. -

Walton is not playing good, PERIOD. They look good in spurts but just seem to be missing some, "TEAM" chemistry. Seems like a little more I than WE -

Two hard working teams going at it is always fun to watch. Looks like we will get to see this close matchup two more times this year. -
As for the discussion on the half circle... In high school basketball a charge should not be determined upon by a players position on the floor. In college and the NBA it should because they have the half circle. High school does not have the circle so if a defender takes a charge were that circle would be than it should still be called a charge, IMO.

I think the best solution would be for you guys to meet at the waffle house in dry ridge for a nice meal and discuss your thoughts. Now that's FUNNY! -

I heard that weak side. I wish we could all be good sports. Everyone should quit bashing the other. It goes both ways. Both teams are good and have heated, competitive games between one another. Most likely everyone with something negative to say about either Walton or grant can't just enjoy great high school basketball. This is comming from a 100 percent non biased opinion. -

Anyone who knows basketball knows that these two teams are evenly matched and the outcome could go either way any time they play this year. Good win for wv and lets give gc a little credit, we thought that this would be a 10 plus victory for us and it wasn't. I look for the next matchups this year to be close just the same. Great game both teams! -

It sounds like marvel has some hard feelings! I don't think that anyone is really following you. The three teams you mentioned, Jim bob, fouling, parents not liking the game plan, Kinmon this and that, this thread is about Wv and SK not your personal issues. -

I hope they can fix it but it looked like chemistry problems could bring them down fast. -

I watched the Carr kid play over the summer. He is a nice looking player. I don't hear much about him though! -

I'm not real sure that Walton is going to repeat this year. The other teams in the district are much improved and Walton seems to have chemestry problems right now. I realy hope they get things worked out. -

I will agree to bad scheduling. I hope to see WV work out any kinks soon. They can be a fun team to watch and my post said, "not a good start." Never said Terrible, 0 and 2 is not good but I do understand that the two loses are from two solid teams. -

I think coach Jones is the best coach in the Region right now Sportsmaniac. A lot of things go into play when being a good coach. Support is one of them. He seems to have great support from his community. That means a lot. Kids buy into that!
