  1. Nice win Coach Davis and Boys. Some people need to wait before they start bashing coaches. He is one of the best coaches we know.
  2. You don't have to go by his AAU record, his record at SK is enough said! Any school is lucky to get him. Boys respond well to him and love him as well as the parents.

  4. Congratulations Coach Davis! He will definitely be missed at SK! South Laurel is lucky to have a coach who is great with the kids and has an incredible knowledge of the sport. Looking forward to watching your trip to Rupp!
  5. IMO SK had the chance to win, but most of the players on the floor looked like they had no desire to be there. The passes were lazy and turned over many times, also not a lot of hustle. There was no effort to get the ball into the hands of some of the shooters that are needed to win a game. You cannot wait till the last two to three minutes of a game to decide to play because you don't want your season to end. At that point it is to late. Oldham County used their bench wisely, SK uses maybe one or two off the bench, could have made the difference in the game to have fresh legs and boys out there that may play with desire to win.
  6. I agree 100%. He has continuously showed composure, rebounding, scoring and working hard. He has more points scored this year than probably half those boys on the list.
  7. They did the same with SK student section the night before. The Sheriff literally stood right in front of the student section and watched them the whole time. Then when the game was over all three Sheriff's stood on the court right in front of the SK student section. Totally unneccesary. The SK students were nothing but well behaved. They could have said a lot in light of the situation but did not. But unfortunately the WV students chose to call the players on the floor names so that everyone could hear. Where was the WV administration? Is that considered good sportsmanship. It seems like WV likes to bash the other student section (SK and Grant) but never addresses their own.
  8. Really when you think about it most of the game last night Conner had mostly Seniors on the floor. SK at many times had 3 sophmores on the floor. SK has quite a few seniors on their team and usually starts many of them but a lot of minutes come from other players which are mostly sophmores. SK will be fine. Team did not shot well and most players seemed to not give a lot of effort. Rabe played a good game, as well as Ayers who is really stepping up as a sophmore. Monson handled the ball well with no turn overs and played good defense as a sophmore. But this game is over and it is time to move on to the next matchup. As for saying SK is no matchup for "ANY" NKY team, we will see what has to be said at the end of the year.
  9. SK played well in the JV Championship game. They lost by 5 but should hold their heads high. Hope Boone County realizes that the SK team is made up of 5 freshmen, 3 sophmores and only 3 juniors. All Freshmen got plenty of playing team and will be extremely exciting to watch over the next three years.
  10. I think if the five freshmen boys (Ayers, Bowling, Monson, Sampson, Swanson) playing for SK JV/Varsity were playing Freshmen for SK they would be the team to beat hands down.
  11. I believe SK will pull it out again. The last time they meet Dixie, Pike was playing. So with or without him, I believe they will win.
  12. Don't believe either of them missing would have made much of a difference in the JV game. SK beat them the first time this year with the players there. Just really don't see it making a difference.
  13. It seemed everytime the five that were on the floor started to come back and played hard they were taken out. Not sure why you don't keep the kids in that are scoring and defending better, to turn around and put another five in that are cold and turning the ball over. Still a good season. First loss
