Probably close to accurate, just passed the SK bus on 17 and it didn't look like there was much movement on there.

Saw the first half of the game. Sk jumped out early 4-0 then Conner just took over and had a comfortable lead all through the second quarter. Hodges looked good. He's a big kid with a big wing spand. I'm looking forward to see him and Brown go at it Friday night. I liked Conner's point gaurd. Jacob Flesch I believe. I thought he was a pretty big player for Conner in the first half. Also Robinson, I believe is a great player. It seemed as if when he was out've the game Sk started to shorten the lead. Sk didn't impress me at all. As I stated about Doss. He is a big player, just is way to slow and non aggressive to really be a factor. Hodges seemed to handle him easily. Sk looked lost on offense. They seem to be no threat to anyone in NKY in my opinion. Good job Conner, good luck Friday.

Sounds like an easy win for Conner. Congrats to the Cougars. They are certainly one of the top ball clubs in NKY this year.

Good win for the Cougars tonight. SK seemed outmatched at every position. Liechty and Flesch could penetrate at will. Liechty was 12 for 12 from the foul line and Flesch could have have easily had 8 assists. I wasn't counting. Conner rotated 4 bigs and split the time up due to Hodges and Robinson both picking up two fouls in the first half. When Conner's starters were all on the floor, Conner owned the gym. Hodges had a monster dunk and several nice blocks. Robinson and Hodges both connected on treys also.

Congrats to Conner on the win. They are a very tough team and will continue to get better as the season progresses.

SK flat got beat bad tonight but help is on the way in Cody Chambers who is slated to play on Friday night. Conner has a very solid squad, nothing that will wow you but they play good defense and are pretty efficient on the offensive end. Gray for SK got into early foul trouble and never seemed to be into the game once he returned, they must get better production from him. Conner had an eight point lead in the third and didn't score quite some time but SK couldn't draw any closer. Conner hit a three at the end of the third, then Hodges had a nice dunk that put them up thirteen and nailed the coffin. SK hit one three tonight and that may have been their only basket outside of the paint. Soph Nick Ayers played a very good game with 14/7, he's a very nice player.

Is SK's team young? How many Seniors are starting? It kinda sounds like the guys just got worn out late in the game as well, that certainly doesn't help when you're already down late in the game.

Is SK's team young? How many Seniors are starting? It kinda sounds like the guys just got worn out late in the game as well, that certainly doesn't help when you're already down late in the game.

 

SK has 4 or 5 Seniors and mostly Sophomores.

No real suprise here. Conner will challenge for the 9th Region Crown this year.

Really when you think about it most of the game last night Conner had mostly Seniors on the floor. SK at many times had 3 sophmores on the floor. SK has quite a few seniors on their team and usually starts many of them but a lot of minutes come from other players which are mostly sophmores. SK will be fine. Team did not shot well and most players seemed to not give a lot of effort. Rabe played a good game, as well as Ayers who is really stepping up as a sophmore. Monson handled the ball well with no turn overs and played good defense as a sophmore. But this game is over and it is time to move on to the next matchup. As for saying SK is no matchup for "ANY" NKY team, we will see what has to be said at the end of the year.

Conner has a strong inside game and the guards do not turn the ball over. Witht that combination, they can compete night in and night out with anyone in the state in my opinion. I'm excited for their meeting with the Rebels of Boone County.

Missing players, age, what not aside. Two teams played last night and the better team won. What I noticed from Conner was very good perimeter defense. SK was screening and rotating the ball trying to get their shooters good looks, but they were not there. Offensively Conner controlled the ball extremely well. Flesch had a very nice game for the Cougars. He did a great job at getting through the SK traps and distributing the ball to guys who "ALL" scored. What will make Conner tough to beat is their team play. Teams will not be able to focus on any one player because another one will step up and beat you. I was really looking for a big game from Nick Gray. I realize he had the early foul trouble, but he looked disrupted. I guess good "D" will do that to you. SK will definately improve with Chambers in the lineup, but I still don't believe it would have changed the outcome of this game.

The way you've been talking up SK, I would've expected a much better perfromance, with or without Chambers.
