Congrats to Cooper on their trip to regionals. Does anyone know when the last time Conner made the trip?

Conner/Dixie Predictions
Eyes and Ears replied to Packman's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
This game should get ugly in a hurry. Conner doesn't have the talent they had last year when they still lost to Dixie. The players Conner does return have limited varsity experience. To top it off, Dixie probably knows their plays. Even without Pike on the floor, I am thinking Dixie wins by around 15 points and gets to use its bench quite a bit. I like Byrns and Hemmerich for Conner and I have heard they were playing well over the summer. Who broke their hand? Byrns? I think the Dixie guards will dominate this game. No answer for Hatton. -

Dixie Heights 2011/2012

I remember seeing the Hedger kid play for Turkeyfoot and I was not overly impressed. I did however see him play over the summer with his AAU team and if I am not mistaken, he may have dropped 20+ on an Indiana team. There was a huge improvement over a short period in time. -

Is one of them named Hedger? He played for Turkeyfoot last year, I am assuming he would be at Dixie this year. I saw him playing at the bearcat classic over the summer and he looked really good in the post. He was about 6'3" then. -
Exactly.

Congrats to Bobby. This kid was one heck of a high school player and as hard as he works he will be a very good college player as well. He was very fun to watch. -
N. Ky. Basketball All Stars

I agree with you 4PP. At the end of the season, Hodges wasn't even one of the top 3 on that Conner team. I am a Hodges fan, but given the level of production throughout the year, this spot should have went elsewhere. -

My appologies to all of the other sports at Conner High School because my comment was intended to cover the basketball program only. Since we were in the basketball discussion., but I have since seen the light and after reading many postings I now agree that there are no bad coaches out there. Every coach in NKY is a great coach because they all dedicate their time and care about the players. Winning is not important and shouldn't be used to judge success. These coaches take time away from their families to come and sit on that bench for these players and we need to show them some gratitude for this. Who cares if they don't win, who cares if talent goes undeveloped and wasted, who cares if poetential scholarships are lost. That is not what is important. What is important is that these guys be treated wih respect and not criticised for their short comings. I feel so much better now that I understand how this system works. I am going to speak with my boss about implementing a similar system in my workplace where our employees are not graded by how many sales they make, but by how many days they come to work. because gosh darnit they took the time to get out of bed and come in so they need to be appreciated for that. I see that going over real well.

Points stated. Points taken. Good luck to Boone and Ryle.

Ok. Conner needed someone to contain Stauffer. How did that work out? Why not try to play to your own strengths and not just try to counter your opponents. There have not been many teams that have been able to contain Stauffer. Conner hadn't done it 3 games, what makes anyone think they could do it in the fourth. Stauffer has 40 - 45 pounds on Hodges, Hodges has probably 6 inches in wingspan. Maybe play some denial? Maybe you play three bigs and force Ryle to match up with you since Conner had a problem scoring. I will attest that Hodges was not putting up numbers like a 6'8" center should, but that is mainly because he is a 6'8" wing.

Are there any there now?
