Scott looked very good the other day against CovCath and while I didn't see the Boone game they are strong also. These are my three top teams...... HHS is tough as is Simon Kenton to round out my top five.

This years CovCath Freshmen Tourney is going to be a good one and if you don't come out to catch a game or to, them you are really missing out!

Scott

Boone

CovCath

HHS

Simon Kenton

Boone, covcath and scott are the top 3. Highlands, newcath, ryle, conner, cooper, sk could beat anyone. i hear newcath has quite a few players out so they arent as strong as they could be.

Scott

CovCath

Highlands

Boone Co

SK

Highlands beat Boone Co but lost to Scott by 7 and Cov Cath.

Im surprised nobody has talked about Holmes. Can anyone give us a report on them.

OK to solid. I'd put them even with a team like Conner (who beat Holmes by 3).

Holmes is very quick and athletic. They blew Scott out of the gym tonight. (by 23)

Quick and athletic doesn't mean "good basketball players."

Maybe Scott's not very good. Maybe it was just a matchup problem.

They're solid. Nothing more.

I didn't say Holmes was good, or bad. I just said they were quick and athletic. It was a match-up problem and a uninterested Scott team.

BTW, Scott is a very good team, just ask CovCath, Highlands, and Boone Cty to name a few.

Scott goes as far as Nick Jackson takes them. IMO if you take him off that team they are a middle of the road team.

To be honest, I was not impressed much at all with Boone Co. Maybe they just had a bad night when I watched but they took very poor shots from the field and didnt defend very well at all.

Cov Cath has very nice depth and that should help them in the tournament but they are certainly beatable as well.

You can say that about any team. Take their best player, especially the best post player at the freshman level, away and a team will be a "middle of the road". Although Scott would be a little better than "middle of the road". I guess its good that no one has come close to stopping Nick all year.

Boone is without question a top 3 team in Northern KY.

Scott is the deepest team in Northern KY. They play 11-12 kids a game and don't lose much at all. CovCath is a good physical team but not as good as couple other teams in NKY. The tourny on thier floor won't hurt.ourny on thier floor won't hurt.

Simon Kentons JV team...

If both Sampson and Swanson were playing freshman, SK would certainly be very tough.

Scary thing is, McClendon was actually with those guys at Summit View for a year or two before going back to Holmes.

Could you imagine those three together?

Who are Holmes' top freshmen? Doesn't Jaylen Avery play freshman?

Keep in mind their best player at that level is their JV leading scorer and also seeing varsity time...Christian McClendon. He'd make a huge difference, just like Sampson and Swanson would for SK.

Doesn't Cooper have a pretty solid freshman group too?

Their best freshman (6'6 Maniacci) is starting varsity now.

Scott has depth but imo nobody that matches Jacksons play. Not too shabby when pulling from 3 different feeder schools.
