The Braves came out flat tonight. Carroll County got the lead early, Grant's subs got them the lead by the end of the 1Q and into the 2Q. Carroll County made a nice run in the third quarter to get the game close. Carroll County hit a 3 with 3.4 seconds to send it to overtime. Braves built a 7 point lead in OT and held on for victory.

Grant plays bad and pulls out the win. The 4th Q and OT Carroll killed Grant on the boards. Big threes by Carr and Kinmon in OT to seal the deal.

I thought the refs were terrible overall, both ways. The number of trips up and down to the foul lines was terrible. Good win for Grant. Carroll looked very determined but did not pull it out. I thought they played very well.

Wordis is that players for Grant take a number on who's night it is to be the whipping boy. Constant screaming does no good, after awhile even a 3 year old will block you out. Street talk says the team has a very young player who is being referred to as the golden boy. Things don't look good for the Braves, even after 2 wins.

Politician, you are correct from what I have seen this year from Grant Co. coaching staff. Constant screaming at players from all the coaches. I'm not sure the kids respond positively to that treatment or does it just drive the player to being less and less confident in themselves. Gotta wonder.

The coaching staff at Grant County is a group of fine men. Unless you take time to get to know them lets not bash them.

MOJO52, I dont know what games you've been at but I have never seen anyone else other than coach Hicks getting his point across! That's total BS for you to say, "ALL OF THE COACHES", scream at the players. I really wonder how many GC games you have seen or is this just more BS that a disgruntled parent is feeding you!

And constant insulting the coaches or the way the Braves play every single time you post does no good either.

Marvel, you are correct about constant bashing of the coach, so let's just hope the coach isn't as stubborn as the great Billy Clyde and starts showing a little class while he is in the process of teaching these teenagers the game of basketball. Just because you were treated a certain way when you played doesn't always mean it is the right way.
