One of the biggest playoff implication games was early with Miami beating Notre Dame, which I figured was a strong probability then, which ultimately was. The committee definitely got it right with Ohio State getting the #2 seed, they and Indiana are clearly the top two. I could also see Texas Tech being tough to beat, they are playing good. In my opinion, Alabama had the most generous selection, and not. Their regular season conference record and beating Georgia once was their saving grace. It definitely overrode their loss to Florida State. I had no problem with Miami getting in over Notre Dame. And I was happy to see James Madison and Tulane get the nod. If it’s unliked, the FBS teams need to show that they belong that could have been in.

Alabama definitely got the most generous selection of everyone. Having one conference loss over the regular season was probably what got them in, along with beating Georgia. I don’t think rematches are ideal, but there wasn’t much avoiding it with the amount of SEC teams getting in.

I know many feel that way, but they did win the conference championship. Don’t get me wrong, I think Miami is clearly better.

Congratulations to Owensboro on winning state, happy for you all. And congratulations to Pulaski County on a nice season too. I think Pulaski is just going to get better.

I think the ACC still brings a team. If it isn’t Duke, I believe Miami will get in.

This may not be the popular opinion, but I think I would choose Miami. Even with them not making the ACC championship, they might have been playing better than anyone of the conference. Alabama made the SEC championship and lost it without showing much impressive. I know it was early but their loss to Florida State was worse than losses of the others. Miami beat Notre Dame too.

I’m thrilled for Indiana, awesome win for them and just as awesome of a game! It’s clear to me that Indiana and Ohio State are the top two teams in college football. What a game!

I thought that they were already but this game has shown the non-believers unquestionably.

Congratulations to Trinity on winning state and to South Warren on a really good season too. I was impressed with how South Warren played too. They will be a contender in 6A.

That was insanity with Texas Tech not going for a field goal to go up two possessions. Could be costly. If BYU wins, welcome more chaos for the playoff selection committee.

About an expected, didn’t know if it would be quite this bad. I felt like it was clear that the winner between Boyle County and Corbin was going to win after their game. Congratulations to Boyle on winning and to Franklin County on a good season.

Very well may have made a difference in the outcome.

I think we have all probably been called or thought of as crazy at times lol. CAL is definitely very good and talented, this is likely their best team. I would have them as a top 3 statewide.

Enjoy and stay warm to whoever is going. I’ve spent some cold championship weekends watching and others that weren’t as bad. I probably would have went but my daughters field trip is today and it’s a birthday party weekend for them.

I’m kind of surprised that Stoops was fired and not. His contract was the only thing I saw keeping him there. I guess it will be easier paying him over time the way that it’s been shared.
