Moeller parents are saying that Todd Naumann is telling people he is no longer a coach at Covington Catholic.

I previously stated that I overstated the number of unqualified coaches on staff that were Beechwood grads/friends. I was wrong in my assumption as to the number of friends from Beechwood that Mr. Brossart hired. There was only one and it was a mistake on Mr. Brossart's part. The Beechwood angle is insignificant based on Guru's update.

The alma mater is insignificant. It's nothing more than a designator.

As far as I know only one coach has been fired at Covington Catholic. That seems like a pretty good track record. Coach Brossart seemed like a good football guy but he had a bad staff especially on the defensive side of the ball. When you hire friends who are unqualified you sometimes pay the price. It may have worked at Finneytown but you have to have a good staff and Coach B didn't. In the games I attended there was no coaching going on the sidelines when the defense came off of the field. They just got a pat on the helmet. I actually liked the offense they ran in the games I watched. Coach Wirth needs to make sure he has the best staff or he might end up with issues.

Don't misunderstand my post. I know what Coach Trosper has going on in Hebron. He and his staff are going in the right direction. My point is that Conner has a history of bashing coaches despite their success. We're starting to see it now with Coach Hicks. You cannot win in the 9th region while being soft or passive. Conner is soft and passive.

The classic Conner fan reaction. Been going on for years in Hebron. Stellman puts good teams on the field and gets nailed. Warfield puts good teams on the court and gets nailed. Hicks apparently is next and he must have suddenly forgotten how to coach. Watch out, Dave Trosper. You're next.

They know who they want as their next coach. Its up to him. They are interviewing to have another option. Maybe their choice says he won't take the job. They know who they want already though.

People out here in Alexandria are saying that the Camels have made a decision on who their coach will be as long as he wants to take the offer. They think its a done deal.

Average margin of A,AA, and AAA is about 40 points. That can't be the case in state finals. Dreadful showing for the finals. Shows that KY doesn't have enough talent to have 6 classes.

Is there a more apathetic high school sports scene than Lexington and the surrounding area? I'm not talking about quality of play which is solid. I'm talking about pure lack of support and interest. I've been to many games in the area and I'm always stunned at how few people are in attendance. Does UK get all of the attention and not the local boys?

Sounds like you're close to the football program. I apologize if I'm incorrect on that. Are you telling us that the football coach told you he doesn't encourage his players to only play football and the basketball coach told you that he doesn't have a problem with the most powerful coach and the AD? Shocking.

What is more likely to happen? Highlands winning by 50 or Covington Catholic winning?
