Holy Cross 69 Beechwood 67 (OT)
I can't see any reason to think BW is the better team in any way. HC dominated them in the All A and won this time around with a terrible start and just plain dropping the ball from the free throw line. Not to mention that Burger had the worst game I have seen him play since last year. I think the bigs for HC really have to step up and keep Thelen and Connely out of the lane or it will be a long night in the paint for the Indians.

The Best NKY Receiver of the Last Five Years
Bovard, PVS, and AC are the top three in my opinion. Stats of wide out's in High School are very misleading in my IMO, and that is why some people on here are mentioned just pure stats.

The Best NKY Receiver of the Last Five Years
Played in a pass happy offense, seemed to catch a lot of simple routes. Good player but not at a lot of other guys levels.

Great game by the Breds very well coached team. Both teams played hard but NCC was nasty in the trenches, I think they go on to win it all. Once again HC has the position players to compete with anyone year in and year out they just can't find enough big fellas to play up front. Good luck to the Breds the rest of the way!

2A: Holy Cross at Newport Central Catholic predictions
Last year I would agree HC had more talent than NCC but not this year. The Overall Defense played by NCC gives them the edge. I do however see Arlinghaus throwing far less INT's and having a much better game, like wise NCC won't put the ball on the ground as much. It will be hard fought but I really think the HC passing attack matched with one of the most undderated players in NKY in the HC running back Fuller is going to put it on NCC. Now if only the HC D can kepp the NCC rushing yards under 400.:sssh: I like HC in this on 35-28.

Can't wait to see a great HC vs. NCC game. Newport is going to be rocking.

Covington Holy Cross 26 DeSales 14
What is this based on? Clearly NCC is the favorite but to say no chance doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but hey we have all had our poorly thought out posts.:ohbrother: I just hope to see a hard fought game and knowing the guys on both sides I can confidently say all will be left on the field.:thumb:

They won't, they can't knock HC anymore. Great hard fought game by each team! HC just seemed to want it more in the 4th quarter they had the never say die attitude. I mean how about the poise or the offense as a whole in the 4th quarter. Desales running back #40 tried to do it his self just couldn't carry the whole team, very good player. Great game boys!

Holy Cross 55 Carroll County 17
You do realize that HC and Desales have met the past two years, granted Desales has played great and came out on top, and the games have been decided by ovetime 2 years ago and a last second interception by HC while driving for the win last year? Just wondering where the water in your argument is? I by no means am saying this game won't be close, HC has to play their best to win!:thumb:

Holy Cross 55 Carroll County 17
All people that think Carroll County had any chance once the game started is sadly mistaken HC did what they wanted to do Ran 6 different plays and every aspect of the game was controlled by HC. I guess the guys defending Carrolls loss are coaches defending their job or something because HC respected Carroll as a team and Pulled all starters at one point of the game and Carrol left all starters in and they were able to score one more time. Not only was HC able to score, but they never had a drive more than 50 yards for a touchdown showing that HCs special teams was much more superior. As i stated earlier HC controlled the game in every aspect of the game!!

Those days weren't to long ago, but they are a powerhouse now.

Top WR's in NKY
Not asking for stats though. It is clear that it's Peterson, Connelly, and then i would say Jasper, Winkler, and at least one of the Highlands guys, they are a very good group. No disrepect intended :thumb:

Top WR's in NKY
Wow. To put the SK guys that high is an over statement to say the least.

Lloyd/Holy Cross Predictions
Holy Cross didn't practice because of a Walk/Run to benefit cystic fibrosis. The Entire team contributed.

Not a lot to say when they were looking for a shut out!

1A #2 Louisville Holy Cross vs 2A #10 Covington Holy Cross
CHC played the worst game of the year. When LHC had the ball they scored (defense was horrible), and Arlinghaus had 5 interceptions. Its hard to win when you give up 56 points.
-
1A #2 Louisville Holy Cross vs 2A #10 Covington Holy Cross
It seems to me that this game is one of polar opposites. LHC plays great D and CHC plays great O. Gotta love the defemsive teams chance if they can get some turnovers, but CHC can really put it in the endzone. I really think it comes down to turnovers (such a bold statement).

Poor Fan Behavior
I am not sure what your asking or why? I being a Holy Cross guy and at the game helped clean the floor as the CCH students, parents, and whoever they had at the game walked out afte there students trashed the Holy Cross gym. The CCH princpal was notifiedI am pretty sure, nothing happened.
-
Poor Fan Behavior
Well its a thread about over the top fan behavior, CCH was brought up and talked about not sure what "game" others should worry about in a thread where your school was brought up in discussion? It also feeds the fire of a topich like this when CCH does things like throw thousands of beads across the Holy Cross gym floor and students cursing at adults because they were told to clean it up, and then the CCH AD did......natta.

Covington Holy Cross 41 Conner 21
HC will give every team they play this year a run for their money. They have a tough group of football players.
-
Cooper 63 Lloyd 7
Is Lloyd really that bad?
-
Covington Holy Cross 41 Conner 21
Great Night for the Indians!! Arlinghaus 307 passing yards. Jasper with 98 yards. K.Fuller with 106 yards. and C.Fuller with 105 total yards. HC gave them all they could handle.

Cov. Holy Cross vs Conner Predictions
Thats tough to say without seeing either, i think HC will give Conner all they want. Once again this year it is not really all about whether HC has the skill positions to compete they always do, they must play better in the trenches and for once, just once, get some play calling that makes even a little sense.
