This is one of the most interesting matchups of the week.

BGP's #2 1A team Louisville Holy Cross hosting the #10 2A team Covington Holy Cross

If Covington Holy Cross goes to Louisville Holy Cross and knocks them off, is it an upset? And if so, how big of an upset would it be?

I like louisville Holy Cross . Speed and true grit have carried them so far along with some huge senior leadership . I think Covington Holy Cross coming away with a victory would definitely be an "upset" . Lou. Cross 34-31 .

To me, this is a pick 'em game. Lou. HC has been on a roll this year but they did lose to Cov. HC last year 26-10. CHC has been getting better every week. This is one of the games I am most interested in this week as it will be one of those statement games for the winner. I will go with LHC by one point because of home field.

I've seen one but haven't seen the other. I'm going with Covington Holy Cross by 14.

One reason for the defeat last year was "no" leadership at all 'and' their starting QB (Scott) and their all-district starting tailback (Keen) did not play . Very difficult to overcome losing (2) of your biggest weapons in one game . But , that was then and this is now . I am not too up to par on what Covington Holy Cross brings to the table so this one should be interesting . Probably come down to turnovers and Louisville Holy Cross does not protect the ball very well at all .

Covington Holy Cross runs the spread offense. They have a big QB who is an accurate passer and can run the ball as well. They have a strong RB who runs very hard and is tough to bring down. They have a couple pretty good receivers. It is all about offense for CHC. The defense is nothing special. The offense can put up a lot of points if the receivers hang on to the ball. If CHC wins, it will likely be a high scoring game. If LHC can hold CHC to no more than 3 scores, they should get the win.

Should be interesting then because LHC is a defensive team with a very predictable offense so if LHC can continue their defensive prowess then they should prevail . Their offense is predictable but they do have speed and can break big plays because of a very stout offensive line .

It seems to me that this game is one of polar opposites. LHC plays great D and CHC plays great O. Gotta love the defemsive teams chance if they can get some turnovers, but CHC can really put it in the endzone. I really think it comes down to turnovers (such a bold statement).

One thing is certain, Holy Cross will definitely win! LHC may come out on top and I know CHC plays some good O but Lampone for CHC sure can play some D.

Defense wins championships! So shouldn't the best D win this one? Sounds like LHC has the better defense!

You may not have the best offense. But if the other team can't score on you how can you lose? I'll take LHC in a close one.

LHC has faced some pretty good offenses and very well. I don't think they give up enough points to lose this game.

This game seems to fall right into one those "special teams and turnovers" categories.

If special teams are the case then Louisville Holy Cross should end up on the positive side of the score . Greg Johnson has returned (3) kicks for touchdowns alreadys and the other returner has returned (1) .

If LHC ever decides to open their offense up, its going to be lights out for many of their remaining opponents. LHC has skilled kids everywhere that can run and catch that previous opponents have not even seen.
