  1. Schultz, Hope and Merckle were outstanding.
  2. Should be an interesting season. Will be interesting to see who comes out. Also, who mans the point. Could be Buten. Small but has handle. Could be Hinkle, who lacks size as well. Could be Houliston, but I think they need his scoring...more of a 2. I liked what I saw out of Witte last season. He could run the point. His size would create some mis-matches as well with his size and strength. A lot of athletes- will be interesting. Could be very thin in the middle, particluarly when you look at the likes of New Cath, who will be the class of NKY IMO. I could see them (NCC) going very deep into the state tourney. The wings will be very talented with the likes of Turner, Hergott, Greene, etc. Gronote and Hinkle should contribute. They might be the keys. Brocket is another that could contribute, I agree, likely to play the 2 I think. Should provide some bench depth. Time will tell. Don't know enough about the transfer to contribute.
  3. Really? You know the family? You should watch the film then. Kid works hard, but young. He will be a good one, but will take time. I believe that he, more than some, will continue to see time.
  4. In the event you have not had the opportunity to watch the game film, Boyle did not score a point when HHS's first D-line/LB's were in the game. That is from start to finish. In the second half HHS tightened up that rotation. The results followed. One would think that HHS would have realized this and conintue with the tighter rotation. The one time Boyle made it to the redzone in the second half, they got there against a combo of the 2nd/3rd rotation. HHS brought the 1st teamers in on 3rd down and Boyle was tackled for a loss...forced to try a FG. Just say'n. Good luck to Boyle the rest of the season. Hope to see them again in the playoffs. Go Birds! Beat Cardinal!!
  5. It was in Lexington. Was not there, however, heard Houliston, Feggins, Hoge and WATSON had big games. The word I got was that "Watson is a MACHINE". Good win for the JV. Might be the easiest game of the season for the JV Birds...Look at their schedule! Brutal!
  6. They tried it. I will say that. The D was much better in the 2nd half...Obviously. Adjustments on the O and D side of the ball was the difference. Special teams should not be overlooked as well. Hats off to the coaching staff and players for making it work.

  9. I think you are mixing the recently published lists here....There was a top 15 seniors, 3 of which play for HHS and top 40, greater Cinci kids, class of 2014 (Juniors), 6 of which are from HHS. There are no juniors on the "Top 15 Seniors" list.
  10. Went by it today. It is impressive! Big shout out to those that made it happen!!
  11. Congrats to all of the HHS players who made the list. All are great kids and VERY hard workers. Not sure what you are trying to say (actually I am), but you are incorrect. Actually 4 are Ft. Thomas residents (True, Hope, Houliston, Wrobleski). All play football for Highlands High School. One is a Highland Heights resident who happens to live closer to HHS than the other public schools in the area and the other is a Campbell County resident, both (non-Ft. Thomas residents) of whom have attended the Ft. Thomas Schools for at least, going on, 4 years now...Obviously, all will be Juniors this coming season and look to make a signficant contribution to this years team. Go Birds!!
  12. :ohbrother: Here we go!!!
  13. 9-6 Birds win it.
  14. HHS gets the win 9-6 over Conner
  15. Thanks for the updates! Good to see the Birds putting some "W's" on the board. Hopefully this builds some confidence. They have some talent. Young, but the future certainly seems bright. Good luck and keep the updates coming!!
  16. See link to KHSAA web site for schedule. Times, no sites yet... 2012 Kentucky High School Baseball
  17. Scott County will be coming to HHS.
  18. The birds burned their last t.o. with 3.3 seconds left.
  19. Or is it-Kansas City Shuffle?
  20. Ummm...Alex- Who is jolmstead?
  21. I do not believe Beau will see the field as a quarterback. If he does, it will be as a senior (barring injury). JMHO
