  1. WOW! How 'bout them 'BIRDS? Played solid defense, had timely hitting and Coach made the moves when necessary. Great effort! Good luck in round 2!!
  2. Where did you get that? I know that, as of yesterday, there were only 2 candidates. Interviews were to start today. She was not one of them.
  3. If your son is interested in that SCHOOL, AND, you realistically believe that your son can play at that schools level, GO. Some schools really want to see that commitment, of coming to their camp, before offering. If your son is interested in other schools and you believe he fits at those other schools better, go to those. Be honest with yourself. I don't buy into the "Don't run the 40" or "Don't run the shuttle" because eventually they have to. Athletic scholarships are not final until you sign the letter of intent. Then, they are year to year. You have it or you don't. Be honest with your sons playing ability and select a school first, program 2nd. Just my opinion. AND yes, I have gone through it...recently. Made our mistake along the way, but the experience was a learning one to say the least. Valuable for him and me. In the long run, we learned early and it all paid off.
  4. Congrats to Connor! Way to go Birds! A lot of talent up and coming. Best of luck to all of the seniors! You represented well!
  5. Is that what his kid wants to do in college? Kick? I agree...The kid has a huge leg. Not sure that this is his ultimate goal however.
  6. Like any other camp, only longer and costs more. Good exposure with the schools that attend. Depends if any of the schools interest the kid that is attending. Might make more sense to just attend the schools of interest one day camp. Depends on the kid. Also, some of the larger schools 1 day camps invite the other coaches as well. BE SELECTIVE. One piece of advice- If the kid is not a blue chip D-1 recruit, I would stay away from the larger D-1 one day camps, ie. Northwestern's Camp, etc. They will get lost in the shuffle. I highly recommend you attend a very specific, targeted, group of camps where, realistically, the kid can play. Once registered, reach out to the coach's and let them know the kid will be there. Include the highlight video and some key stats along with his actual measurable's (I say actual, because they will be measuring upon arrival). Otherwise, you are waisting your time and money. If, for example, there are 6-8 schools at this Blue Chip Academy camp that the kid is truly interested in and you realistically believe that the kid can play at those schools level, then it might be worth it. Otherwise, go to the schools 1 day camp. Hope that helps.
  7. Again- Self reported. Not confirmed by anyone. The coaches can't even comment on them. Even if he reported it, depending on the rep for that site, for this region, it could take months to get updated. The top recruits take priority when updates are done. Trust me....
  8. Number 1- that site is self reported. I happen to know of at least one individual that held an offer from AP in the class of 2014 and he is not listed there either. He did not report it to them though so, it is understandable. Number 2- That is reporting 2014 graduates. I believe Branden is in the class of 2015. I could be wrong, but everything I found on him says 2015.
  9. Good get(s) for WC. If Jensen joins dad, that is a big get for them. Jensen is a quality player and prospect.
  10. Solid effort by the Birds tonight. Hats off to the seniors! Buten, Houliston, Hergott, Brockett, Greene and Shepherd. Good luck to all of you!
  11. To Wittenburg. Great get for that school. Drew is an outstanding QB and Wittenburg will certainly benefit from this commitment. Congrats to Drew and his family!! Very happy for them. Will join HHS big man, O-lineman, Scott Turner.

  13. Would like to add: Hope DL Highlands Harris RB Highlands Wrobleski LB/S Highlands Walling OL Simon Kenton
  14. Sorry, have to say something- Drew deserves to be there...AMONG OTHERS!
  15. The players did NOT know before Mondays meeting.
  16. There were others chosen. Some choose not to play.
  17. Picture was from behind the action. I can't be sure...Lots of traffice. Doesn't really matter at this point. Go Brids! Beat Pandas!!
  18. Looked to me like Etherton put it back on a rebound. Pictures "seem" to confirm, but I can't say for sure. You guys may be right on that one. Either Etherton or Rivers scored the goal to knot it up at 1. Daly scored the game winner. Either way...works for me. Rivers commanded, and got, a ton of attention from the Ryle defense tonight.
