Highlands 11 Muehlenberg Co. 1

Very good outing by JR Schultz going all 7 for HHS. But for 2 walks in the 1st inning, this could have been a shutout. Offense was a nice mix of contributions but a special "shout out" to JR Lester with a couple of big hits and a well-executed suicide squeeze bunt.

Muehlenberg was 8-1 going into this game and played well. 2-1 thru 4 in a good pitchers' duel.

Birds face Thomas Worthington (Columbus, OH area) and McLean Co. (KY) at Ripken tomorrow.

Thanks for the updates! Good to see the Birds putting some "W's" on the board. Hopefully this builds some confidence. They have some talent. Young, but the future certainly seems bright. Good luck and keep the updates coming!!

Nice win for the Birds. I think that evens their record at 5-5-1. They are fun to watch.
