I agree he is the wild card on this team. He has really picked his game up of late. Baker Thelen, and Connelly can't do it alone. The real key to this team winning the 9th is their guard play.

And so could Trammell and Hatton at Dixie. And so could Hightchew and Geisler at New Cath. And yes so could Hayes and Gray at Holmes. It's not just how the top two players on their respected teams play that's going to determine the winner in this region, it's going to be how good the other starting three play, and probably which team can go three to five deep on their bench. But I do agree with you KyDan, Hayes and Gray are the leaders for Holmes.

I agree. That throw to Cohorn was out of the pocket and in full stride That showed his arm strength and his ability to throw the deep ball while bring flushed out of the pocket. I was at The Boone game where Pike threw 3 similar tosses in the back of the end zone to Cohorn while on the move. In my opinion, Patrick iputs a better touch on his passes. He has that ability to put alot of air under his passes and let his recievers use their speed to catch up to the ball. Both of these guys can get it done playing the QB position. I really enjoy watching these two. We all know that Patrick will play QB at the next level. With Pike, we're all going to have to see where he decides to go after high school.

Goose Cohorn For Dixie has to be one of the top recievers returning this year. He put up good numbers last year and has great hands. Very smart football player and student. Look forward to seeing him play this year.

Pike's arm strength and accuracy is pretty good, and so is Towles'. They both move pretty good in the pocket, but i would give the edge to Pike. But not by much. Pike definately has the edge finding his recievers once he's out of the pocket and on the move. They both had really good recievers last year to throw to. Gold and Sheehan were really good at catching the deep ball for Towles, as were Leonard and Cohorn were for Pike.

I would go with Pike on 1 through 3, and Towles on 4 and 5. Towles is more elusive in the open field and the way he took over the offense two years ago and leading Highlands to their two titles under him speaks for itself.

I was referring to the defensive pressure that Cohorn put on their guards. I know he alone caused four turnovers And Trammell caused a few himself. And you're right about Connelly. He had limmited time in the first meeting. He will definately help the Blue Colonels if he's on the floor tomorrow night.

I know the last time these two teams played a few weeks back Cohorn gave the CovCath guards problems. I heard he has missed the last two games with flu like symptoms. I know Dixie is starting to go deeper into it's bench. Does anyone have any news if Cohorn is playing tomorrow night?

Speaking of reciever, I seen Goose Cohorn about a week ago and he informed me that Bobby Leonard might be heading to Campbellsivlle also. I know he made some visits to Georgetown recently but haven't heard much more on it. I do know that Chad and Bobby are good friends. That would be nice to see them two playing together in college.

I've noticed Coach Chevy is starting to go deeper into his bench. He was just going 3 deep with Cohorn, Muntis and Evans. I was told Cohorn has been out the last two games with flu like symptoms. Waller and Bruns were on the floor last night also. Dixie will need a deep bench to win the region IMO, and it looks like that's what the coaching staff is doing. Their bench has to be able to step up, especially if Pike or Stansberry get in foul trouble, or if Hatton has an off night scoring.

IMO the refs never let the Knox vs, Pike battle happen. 3 of the five calls on Pike were VERY questionable at best.

Tough one here. Scott at home by no more than 2 or 3. Wouldn't be surprised to see this game go into overtime.

Congrats to Josh. I'm sure he's happy with his decision. He's a really good young man, and I know his parents Jack and Maryclare are very proud of him, as we all are.

IMO him and his brother Dewey both wanted to go there for not just football situations, but also had to do with them playing baseball there. They both are pretty darn good baseball players also.

I agree with future totally. Dixie played with no fire at all in this game. No rythym on offense at all. No hustling on loose balls and many missed free throws. And they had to have a fairly low shooting percentage in this game. Hatton was off big time in this game also. I heard that the Dixie lockeroom was a pretty bad scene after this one.

I've heard that Goose Cohorn will more than likely be playing qb against NCC. Smart football player with a strong arm and very capable of running the offense. Looks like he might have to sacrafice his recieving duties for one game. Then again, there is always the talk of Hatton playing football again. Cohorn and Hatton were both qb's comming out of the Boone Co. Peewee League.

Couldn't agree with you more. Don't know much on the Highlands side besides Drake Bruns getting alot of attention. I would assume that the other Bruns kid, Devin I believe should be getting some looks. Just not too familiar with the other top players they have returning. I have been told through some sources over at Dixie that Goose Cohorn at the reciever position, and DJ Handlon aon the O and D line have been getting alot of interest. I believe Cohorn is also on the basketball team. Is Drake Bruns playing basketball? I know Towles is.

No way could Christian Co. could knock off any of the top 5 teams in the Ninth region. With that record they could win the NFC West though.

I don't totally agree with these standings. 1 through 10 pretty solid. You could flip them around a few here and there but for the most part I agree the top 10. Now, Christian Co., and then New Cath ranked higher than Dixie Heights? Someone let this fellow know what's going on up here in the ninth region, please! I don't know if I would put Holmes in the 11 to 20 rankings or not, but i feel they could knock off a couple of those teams. Where you at here Walter?

Big district game for both. I think Dixie has way too much fire power for Lloyd to handle. Cheatum vs. Pike matchup should be a good one.
