Clyde
Sounds like a great game to watch and a great game to start the tourney. Well done, BW.
EZ Living
Much closer than everyone on here anticipated but give credit to the Beechwood kids for not paying any attention to what we thought.

Walter
Scoring by quarters: Holmes: 24 - 13 - 24 - 22 --- 83 B'Wood: 22 - 20 - 20 - 16 --- 78 Scoring for Holmes: Gray 28, Hayes 24, Rice 16, Knox 8, Palmer 5, Coston 2 Fangman finished with 31 for the Tigers and absolutely lit it up. Without his hot outside shooting, this is probably a blow out. Unfortunately for him and his team, Holmes had 2 seniors that wanted it just as bad as Gray and Hayes combine for 52 of Holmes' 83. All three gave a great effort tonight. Beechwood led by as many as 7 in the first half at 42-35 and led by as many as 7 in the third quarter at 58-51 before Gray and Hayes went on a tear, scoring 27 of Holmes final 33 points. During a span in the third quarter, the two scored 14 straight for Holmes, including a Hayes 3 that knotted the game at 66. Gray then got a steal against Fangman and scored at the other end for an and one to put the Dogs up 68-66. Beechwood would tie it again at 72- 72 but a Gray free throw, Rice 3 pointer, and another Gray basket would put Holmes on top by 6 at 78-72. Holmes missed some ft's down the stretch, but made just enough to hold on for the W. Wasn't pretty, but credit Holmes for fighting back down 7 with around 5 mins left in the third. The Observer
" wipe out" does not exist when them two teams play each other. Even during the run Holmes had the past three years Cov Cath was able to keep games around 15.
EZ Living
Booher is in his element, Holmes will wipe out CC on Thursday. Won't happen. Look for CCH to come out in a 1-3-1 zone and try to make the Bulldogs make shots from outside. They were not able to guard the speed of Holmes in their first meeting. Bengal Maniac
Walter you got it captured well. Beechwood outplayed the 'dawgs for about 2 1/2 quarters. Then the light switch went on and Gray and Hayes took over. Holmes missed a few free throws down the stretch that was concerning. Fangman played his heart out. Man that kid shot lights out tonight. Gray had a quiet 28 points, but really played great defense in the 4th on Fangman. Holmes wore them down and pulled this one out. They don't have an easy game left. Cacdawg
Congrats to the Tigers on a great season they just couldn't pull through at the end. Fangman is a heck of a player and I hope to see him play on the college level. Watching this game gave me hope for next season with all the talent that they will still have.
