NKY JV Tournament

Featured Replies

It doesn't get as much pub as the frosh tourney but I'm told it's down to Conner and NCC.

Conner beat CCH today in a game that I'm told got a little physical. Hats off to Nick Fredrick for being a teammate and defending his boys. Good win for Conner.

This "tournament" needs some serious attention. Very under the radar and terrible format. Nice win for Conner today. Felt bad for the Fredrick boy. Nice player.

He had a good game against Dixie Thursday night. IMO he should be getting more varsity time. What happened in their game today?

Surprised Conner beat CCH, makes the Birds win over the Cougars more impressive.

I guess I've caught the Birds on bad nights. I think they're 0-3 in games I've seen them this year. They seem to be offensively challenged.

NCC in the finals of frosh and JV tourneys and 1 of the favorites at the varsity level. Have another talented group set to enroll next year. Things looking very good for the Breds.

I've hard two different stories on NCC's JV. I've heard they play Conner Monday night and I've heard they play on Sunday to see if they play on Monday night.

Anyone?

Congrats to Conner but Clyde this had to be one of the worst jobs I have seen a crew do in years and I would have said the same thing if CovCath would have won. It wasn't fair to either team to have these men Ref this game. It was just a down right poor job and I think that any Conner fan who attended this game would agree with me.

No question but have come a long way and get a lot of points off turnovers lately. Very inconsistent group who have had trouble with flow due to the sub patterns. Constant wheeling of players in and out of games 2 min at a time. A ver solid group of 5 sophs and 5 frosh who could get much better over next couple yrs. Throw in 6'6 Frosh Nick True along with these 10 kids and its an athletic bunch. They just need someone to step up and be a scorer.

Holy Cross beat Conner JV last night in a regular season game. Holy Cross plays at New Cath today at 3:00 in a semi final game.

Thanks. So the winner of today's game will play Conner on Monday night?

NCC should win this tourney, they have the best coaching. Grosser, Dupont, Schulte, Siebert are a very solid core.

Yes, the winner of Holy Cross/New Cath will play Conner in the final at Cov Cath on Monday at 6 pm.

Ryle is scheduled to play NCC in JV/V on Monday night. If NCC can't play JV will the varsity play? I assume part of NCC's varsity roster includes JV boys.

Is it a 9th region tourney or more like an invitational similar to the frosh where a few outsiders (Scott-Simon) make the cut to the event too?

Wish I had heard about this. Always fun to see what the future holds for NKY hoops!
