  1. La Lu is always loaded....they have 5 of the top 56 players in the country for 2025 and another kid that is just outside the top 100. Jerry Easter was the best player in Ohio for 2025 before going to La Lu.
  2. Richmond Heights is loaded. Back to back D4 state champs in Ohio and led by Top 50 4* junior Dorian Jones and 5* sophomore TJ Crumble. Crumble is a 6'7 SF that already has offers from UC, LSU, Illinois, Ohio State, Mizzou, and Virginia Tech, among others. He is a legit high major talent. Taylen Kinney led Newport with 27.
  3. I'm not a fan of either team. No dog in this fight. Just felt coming in to this game that Louisville was overrated and aided by a soft schedule with the ACC being weak this year. I hammered UK +7.5. No way Louisville was winning this game by more than 7.
  4. They've been frauds the entire year. ACC is down big time. The fact they were favored in this game was mind boggling to me.
  5. Scott Satterfield and his staff had a really candid meeting with the team Sunday after the UCF loss. Heated conversation between the coaches and players where a lot of guys were held accountable for being undisciplined throughout the previous few games. True freshman CB Rayquan Adkins made his first start against Houston because Jordan Young wasn't doing what he was expected to do on or off the field as a leader and responded with arguably his best game of the season. That is encouraging. UC got really efficient QB play from Emory Jones. That was the difference compared to other games. Defense was also able to force a few turnovers. They have been one of the worst teams in the country to date in turnover margin. The frustrating part about this season is that there's a few games that they probably should have won if not for undisciplined play and mistakes. (BYU, Baylor, UCF, Miami) Will be interesting to see how they respond to success this week. West Va is a winnable game.
  6. Pretty much all signs pointed to him ending up at UC or Ole Miss. The Kentucky insider changed his prediction from UK to UC at 11 this morning. At 11:30 the kid finally made the decision where he was going and it wasn't to either school that everyone thought. Kentucky showed minimal interest leading up to the decision so that was why most felt they weren't involved.
  7. As of this morning at 11:20, the thought was it was either UC or Ole Miss. Him committing to Kentucky might not seem like a surprise for those of you who don't follow recruiting but I can promise other coaching staffs were surprised with his decision when he made the call at 11:30 to let them know he was going elsewhere. The UK insiders were even surprised with his decision.
  8. It will either be UC or Ole Miss for Perry from what I've heard.
  9. Bearcats win their home opener against UIC out of the Missouri Valley Conference. Aziz Bandaogo and Jamile Reynolds did not play as they are still waiting on their appeal decision for immediate eligibility. Juco transfer Day Day Thomas led UC withy 15 pts, 3 ast, 3 rbs. Dan Skillings: 13 pts, 8 rbs CJ Fredrick: 11 pts (4-8 FG, 3-6 3FG) Up Next: Home v Detroit Mercy Friday night at 7
  10. I'm not as worried about the future. They are in on some high level guys in the 2025 class and have a solid 2024 class coming in next year. Can't have another Emory Jones type season from your QB next year. Turnovers and poor qb play have absolutely crushed them this season. Off season development of both Brady Lichtenberg and Brady Drogosh is going to be extremely important.
  11. They've put 17 guys in the league over the past 3 years.... There's very few programs in the country that can lose that much talent over a 3 year span and continue to compete at a high level. Fick saw the shape the roster was going to be in this year and bolted. Not a knock on the current players or roster, but they simply don't have the talent or depth to compete at a high level right now. I'm willing to give Satterfield a pass on year one because he had to add over 20 transfers to complete the roster. If we are having this same conversation 8 or 9 games in next season, then I think you can point to the coaching staff as the issue.
  12. They won't win another game this season. UCF was their best opportunity because they aren't beating Houston/West Va on the road or Kansas, who is a top 4 team in the league. The struggles have nothing to do with the coach. They simply don't have the depth to compete right now. Compound that with being very undisciplined (they were undisciplined under Fick as well, which is why it's hard to blame Satt) and it is a recipe for disaster. This was going to be a transition year regardless, but it has been a much more difficult transition than I anticipated. Standing on the sidelines yesterday pre game I heard a UCF coach look at the UC DB group and say "They're much smaller than I thought".... Just one example that this roster is not set up to compete physically right now in certain areas.
  13. Another big time get for Wes and his staff. UC now has the 15th best class in the country and 3rd highest rated class when stacked up against other programs with 2 commits. Hard to believe, but this is the first time in 15 years that UC has landed top 100 kids in back to back classes. Betsey is the third highest rated commit since the 247sports era began. Held offers from Bama, UConn, Duke, Indiana, Kansas, and Michigan State among others. Former Bearcat Cane Broome is Betsey's high school coach. Top 40 4* Tyler Betsey commits to Cincinnati
  14. Road scalp for the Bearcats to improve to 2-0 heading in to Miami week. Corey Kiner- 20 rush 153 yds UC led 27-7 heading in to the 4th qtr. Offense struggled in the second half and had 6 penalties for 75 yards to allow Pitt to extend drives. Overall, good win after blowing EKU out of the water last week.
