Bearcats improve to 4-1 with a road win over Tulsa. Have to clean up the penalties. Not being able to get off the field on 3rd down because of dumb penalties allowed Tulsa to hang around. Offense also really struggled on 3rd down. Positive? Defense was REALLY GOOD with 11 sacks. South Florida at home next week then a much needed bye week before back to back road trips to SMU and UCF.

Not really... I think, especially early in the season, certain programs get the benefit of the doubt because of their name and conference affiliation and are simply overrated. I do think the transfer portal has created more balance across the sport but overall there's 5 or 6 really good to great teams each year and the rest are beatable on any given Saturday.

Ivan Pace might end up conference DPOY if he continues to play the way he has through the first 4 weeks. He was really good again yesterday with 15 tackles, 2.5 sacks.

Agreed... Their inability to run the ball was a little disappointing as well. Oline couldn't get push up front which made for a long day for Kiner and McClelland. The offense in the second half became very basic and predictable. Have to stay aggressive. At the end of the day, it's a 21 point win and the Bearcats extend their home winning streak to 29 games.

Bearcats jumped out to a 38-10 halftime lead and cruised in the second half to improve to 3-1. At Tulsa next Sat to start league play.

Flory Bidunga is a name to watch... If he doesn't go to the G-League, the thought is that he will re class to 2023 and UC will be where he ends up.

James is the son of former NFL RB Edgerrin James.... Page is the high school and AAU teammate of now #1 player in the country, Isaiah Collier. Both Page and Collier have talked about playing together in college. Only two schools recruiting both are USC and UC. If UC lands Page at the end of the month, that's a good sign that Collier could be heading to Clifton as well.
