Cincinnati Bearcats Football Head coach
Jamey Chadwell had some issues with the NCAA during his time at Charleston Southern so he isn't a name that will come up given John Cunningham's background in compliance and Pres Pinto's experience at UL with Pitino. UC fans would be thrilled with Urban but I'm not sure he's a realistic option at 58 years old. I also don't think he's interested in getting back in to coaching after the Jaguars stint. Two more names I've seen mentioned: Jason Candle- Toledo Matt Campbell- Iowa State

I love what Gino has done for the program and university but I'm not sure he has the ties to build a staff like some of the other names could. People are questioning his hire of Mike Cummings after the OL regression we saw this year with so many starters back. Another name to keep an eye on that I think would be a great hire: Brian Mason- Notre Dame ST Coordinator I think it comes down to whether or not AD Cunningham covets head coaching experience or not. That was a big reason he hired Wes over OSU assistant Ryan Pedon.- Tulane 27 Cincinnati 24
Nope right here. Busy weekend with family for the holiday. Uc played with their back up QB and lost. Not much else to really say. No Dontay Corleone which left them thin on the DL and it showed as Tulane ran all over them. End of UC's home winning streak and run of consecutive CCG appearances. It happens. On to the Big 12.- Cincinnati Bearcats Football Head coach
Rough day and weekend for Bearcats fans after the loss Friday and now this. Would love to see them pull Deion from Jackson State but I think his personal deal with Under Armour would prevent that with UC going to Nike/Jordan next year. I think Brian Hartline from OSU would be the best hire to help maintain consistency with current commits and roster. Great young coach that recruits both Ohio and nationally extremely well. Other names that I'd be happy with: Jesse Minter- Michigan DC Alex Golesh- Tennessee OC Whoever gets the job has to have Ohio HS ties and understand the importance of recruiting Ohio. You can't win at UC recruiting the south and southwest. Tuberville tried that approach and failed miserably .- Wisconsin closing in on hiring Luke Fickell as it’s next football coach
I figured Fick would leave eventually but never imagined it would be for Wisconsin. Truly the end of an era. Home winning streak done. No AAC championship appearance. And now looking for a new coach. Rough weekend for Bearcat fans.- Cincinnati 81 Louisville 62

UC isn't THAT bad...but they have a serious issue with consistency at both ends. Not very athletic in the front court so they get abused around the rim. I think they need to get away from the press. Not athletic or deep enough for it to be effective for 40 minutes. Offensively, they can be really good in spurts like we saw against Zona, but no consistency due to lack of ball movement. Landers Nolley is a dude, despite the 2 point dud last night...other than him, I don't really trust anyone they have. At this point, I wouldn't be mad at all if they gave Dan Skillings and Josh Reed all the minutes at the 3 and 4 and moved Mika Adams Woods and Jeremiah Davenport to the bench. As freshmen, those two dudes play as hard as anyone and this team lacks that toughness.- Texas Tech 70 Louisville 38
I'm sure this will be must watch entertainment on a Wednesday night. ? Bearcats looked awful last night too. If they play like that tonight, Cards will get their first W.- #14 Arizona 101 Cincinnati 93

Wasn't pretty but defense was really good and Bearcats improve to 9-2. Evan Prater came in before the half (Bryant injury) and managed the rest of the game well. Tulane up next on Black Friday with the winner locking up home field advantage in the AAC CCG the following week.- Navy 17 Central Florida 14
Navy upsets #20 UCF at the Bounce House. Bearcats win today against Temple and Black Friday against Tulane and they will get a rematch with UCF in Nippert for the AAC championship.- Northern Kentucky University 64 Cincinnati 51
I think the biggest problem has been consistency. They beat Big 10 champ Illinois by 20 last year on a neutral floor then lost by 6 to a top 15 Arkansas team (Arkansas finished the game on a 7-0 run in the final 1:37 to win). Followed that up with a home loss to Monmouth. 15-6 heading in to February then lost 8 of 10 to end the season. This season... Look really good at both ends through the first 3 games then lose to NKU and look like a completely different team for the final 20 minutes in the loss.- Northern Kentucky University 64 Cincinnati 51
The roster is in really bad shape right now.... From 2018-2021 , only 4 players remain from the 4 recruiting classes brought in. Hard to develop an identity and consistency when there has been that much turnover between 3 head coaches. Expectations are to win now, but I think we need to be patient with Wes and his staff and allow them to build this roster to fit what they want that identity to be. We saw it with the 22 class with Skillings and Reed. And the 23 class is off to a good start with two top 50 players in Griffith and Jizzle James. Wes will need to land a few high level transfers in the off season to accelerate the transition to the Big 12. Minimum 4 and potentially 7 (I think....covid years still have me unsure of eligibility) roster spots to fill at the end of the season.- Northern Kentucky University 64 Cincinnati 51
UC was without their best perimeter defender (John Newman) and 6'6 wing Dan Skillings which made them extremely small on the perimeter at both ends. Vinson and Warrick took advantage of this and pretty much bullied their way to the rim the entire game. Pathetic and embarrassing showing by UC in the second half...4-29 from the field and 11 points. NKU was extremely aggressive in their match up zone when the ball got to the paint, but that's no excuse to not go up strong and finish through contact. I'm not going to overreact to one early season loss, but this team has a lot to figure out before meeting Arizona Monday night in Maui.- Cincinnati Recruiting 2023
Was cautiously optimistic but at the end of the day, mom got what she wanted. He'll spend a year in LA with family then head off to the NBA.- Cincinnati Recruiting 2023
Deciding at noon today... USC board/mod seems confident he's heading out west to be with his brother and uncle in LA.- Cincinnati 87 Eastern Kentucky 69
