Bearcats outscore Louisville by 18 in the second half to get the win. 

The season is a wrap, not that it hasn’t been well before now for the Cards. I seriously question whether they win 5 games at this point. And Payne clearly is WAY OVER HIS HEAD.

There are 4 games remaining in which they have legit chances to win.  FSU (twice), Lipscomb and Florida A&M.  That's it.

Yet there were a lot of UK fans who wanted to say Cal only won because of Payne, and that Payne should have been the next UK coach. 
 

With that said it was pretty obvious he had a horrible roster this year. So he definitely deserves one more year to see if he can right the ship.

I agree about him deserving at least one more season. There’s no doubt he inherited a mess.

I was not one of those that said Cal won because of Payne.  Not that I'm a Cal fan, but he was winning way before he bumped into Payne.

Payne walked into a situation much like Stoops did, a pure lack of Division 1 talent on the roster.

I look for Louisville to kill it in the transfer portal this off season. Payne can offer around 30 minutes a game to at least 5 transfers.
