  1. This has already been brought up. I believe he was also in the mix when UC hired Fick as well and looked at UC as not being "good enough" back then. Things and opinion can change over 6 years, but I'm hoping he isn't a Tuberville type hire. Next year is a transition year regardless, but he will have to put in work to keep this recruiting class and roster together. That starts with keeping Coombs and Stewart.
  2. Is he the kid whose dad has ties to Adidas or works for Adidas? Or am I thinking of someone different? What kind of scheme does he run on both sides of the ball? Also, do you expect any assistants to follow? I would hope and think he atleast retains Kerry Coombs and DL Coach Walt Stewart from assistants who didn't leave with Fick. Possibly OL Coach Mike Cummings as well but he was a Gino hire so hard telling there.
  3. Considering some of the other available options, UC fans aren't very happy today with this news. What areas does he recruit? Do you expect any players from Louisville to follow? Recruits?
  4. This game just got more interesting...
  5. And this is why you hire Prime.
  6. From what I've seen, USF fans aren't very happy about this hire. Wanted someone with more Florida ties and worried about him being Jeff Scott 2.0
  7. Not a finalist or candidate
  8. Still waiting.... Why? No clue
  9. High level recruiter and reputation of being a guy that really knows his stuff schematically on the defensive side of the ball... Was brought to Texas A&M and then made Co-DC at Michigan before taking the Buffalo job 2 months later. (That decision is what led to UK losing Clinkscale) I was ok with Golesh, Gino, Hartline, or Deion. Would be thrilled to land Garrett Riley or Sherron Moore at this point too. I'd be ok with Sumrall. People are definitely questioning the UC AD for not having Golesh or Gino as finalists and not pursuing Deion. If Mo is the guy, it's 100% because of his experience of playing and coaching in the Big 12 and his ability to recruit at a high level and relate to players. (See below)
  10. That's the plan... And I'd say Travis Hunter probably joins too.
  11. Mike Brown to Wisconsin with Fick so I have no clue who will call the plays for UC in this game with the news below about Gino.
  12. Justin Williams just dropped another update on The Athletic and added Buffalo HC Mo Linguist back to the mix....
  13. Officially going to Colorado so we can cross Deion off the list. Currently on a plane with his sons and family to Boulder.
  14. Was on the first hot board but not a name that has come up since. I know UC wanted to go the offensive route with this hire so that would put guys like him out of the mix. Also think he has more recruiting ties to the south than Ohio and Midwest. Was just mentioned on a live pod that Gino Guidugli is out as well... With Golesh and Gino out, I really have no clue now. I really hope it's not Sean Lewis from Kent State. That would be a major disappointment considering what this program has accomplished the past 4 years. A MAC coach that was 1-3 against Chuck Martin is not the route this UC should be taking heading in to the Big 12.
  15. Not my work but... One flight left Lunken for Jackson, MS at 7:17 after the SWAC game ended. And then there's this flight that would have left Arlington right after the B12 championship ended.
  16. You clearly don't know Bearcat fans very well ... They've been tracking flights all week ?
  17. Justin Williams of The Athletic didn't mention him on his most recent update so I don't think so. Him and Chad Brendel are as connected as it gets when it comes to all things Bearcats and both are struggling to get information past the initial zoom interview phase because of how quiet AD Cunningham has kept things.
  18. 1. Georgia 2. Michigan 3. TCU 4. Ohio State Think that ends up being the 4... I don't think TCU drops out and they're not going to put OSU at #3 in a rematch with Michigan.
  19. At this point, I have no clue who the finalists are or who the next coach will be. There was some serious smoke yesterday that Tennessee OC Alex Golesh was in the final stages of being named the next head coach at UC....And then hours later, a Tennessee insider said Golesh wasn't a finalist for UC. If the position was going to Golesh or Gino or even Sean Lewis of Kent State, you would think there would have been an announcement by now. This is why I'm not sure that Gino is going to end up being the guy. I think it would have been announced by now if it were any of those candidates. Throughout this process, it has been said AD Cunningham probably has a mystery candidate that hasn't been on any "hot board" because their team is playing today. I think this makes the most sense for why we are still waiting for an announcement.
  20. A few notes on the transfer portal: The first window opens the day after the championship teams are selected, which will be Dec. 5, and closes 45 days later on Jan. 18, 2023. There is also a 15-day spring period from May 1-15. Grad transfers can enter at any time because they fulfilled their undergraduate requirements. If your head coach was fired during the season, there is an immediate 30-day window to enter the portal, allowing other coaches to talk and communicate with them if there's a future spot on their roster.
