  1. Road scalp for the Bearcats to improve to 2-0 heading in to Miami week. Corey Kiner- 20 rush 153 yds UC led 27-7 heading in to the 4th qtr. Offense struggled in the second half and had 6 penalties for 75 yards to allow Pitt to extend drives. Overall, good win after blowing EKU out of the water last week.
  2. FCS Opponent MAC Level Opponent P5 Opponent Conference Schedule Pretty much every P5 program uses the model above for their schedule...and it is good for college football. The payouts EKU will get from Cincinnati last week and Kentucky this week will probably fund 85-90% of their operating costs for the season.
  3. Emory Jones was named Big 12 Offensive Player and Newcomer of the week for his performance in week 1.
  4. Last two TDS came by the backup QB and a true freshman that made a few guys miss on a slant to take it to the house 65 yards. Scott Satterfield said after the game that he isn't going to apologize for guys making plays and scoring points. I agree with him.
  5. Scott Satterfield gets his first win as Cincinnati's head coach. Emory Jones stat line: 19-23 Passing 345 yds, 5 TD's 9 rush 26 yds , 2 TD's School record 7 total TD's Corey Kiner- 13 rush, 105 yds Xzavier Henderson - 7 catches, 149 yds 1 TD Braden Smith- 4 catches, 72 yds 1 TD Evan Prater- 3 catches, 31 yds Offense rolled up 667 yds of offense.
  6. AAC has reached out to try to get them to join the American.
  7. New Nike unis are here
  8. Reports by Pete Thamel that ACC could expand to get a new TV deal and Cal/Stamford would be the two targets. My guess is if that happens, Washington State and Oregon State end up in the Mountain West.
  9. Jack Griffith and Cass Simmons were outstanding hires when he was assembling his support/recruiting staff. I also don't think he got the support he needed at Louisville off the field. Every staff member that came with him from Louisville has mentioned the administrative staff and academic team at UC and how they have blown them away with their presentations to recruits and how they work behind the scenes to allow the coaches to just focus on ball. That's not a knock on Louisville, but I just don't think Satterfield's personality was a good fit with the Louisville culture. Having talked to commits personally, I can tell you the common theme from all of them is how well this staff builds relationships with guys and how much they appreciate this staff's honesty during the recruiting process.
