  1. I dont think that Ft Knox has that many permanent stationed troops anymore. When I was stationed there in the late 70's and again in the mid 80's. We had tank battalions, the 4th inf. battalion was there and others. I know the 4th infantry isn't there now. That takes away a few thousand troops and family members. I would say they have lost a lot of permanent housing families. If thats the case. You have less students. You have families not staying three and four years on post. So you have a big turn over of students. That makes it hard on a coaching staff. In the 80's Ft Knox was always a top 5 team in the state. :idunno:
  2. ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK. Thats what we did the last game. But not only did we attack on defense. We did it with vengeance. The RAMS played like they had something to prove. But now we have two weeks off. For the seniors, I hope they show up every day at pratice with the same attitude that they played with at the Russell game. We can be a very good team with the right attitude. And if they play with the same desire and determination vs Lynn Camp IMO we will be ok. Don't underestimate Lynn Camp. I hear they are a hard hitting team. While they only score 15.6 ppg. They did score 14 points on LCA. They have only scored over 20 points three times in the 9 games they have played. And they give up almost 30 points per game. But you can tell by reading papers and some of the post on BGP by the LC folks that they love football and this team. And that only feeds on down to the team. Lynn Camp wont back down. This will be a big challenge for the RAMS especially if we don't bring our A game. When every player is putting out that 110%. The RAMS are like a machine that is running perfect. The blocking up front. The downfield blocking , the perfect pass routes, backs running through big holes that us old men could run through. It's a thing of beauty. To see all of this come together looking down from the top of the stands is just awesome. I want to let a couple of the hurt players know that I appreciated them coming out hurt and banged up and playing their hearts out the Russell game. I don't think we could have won it without you. I know that the coaching staff will come up with a great game plan. I just hope the TEAM will pratice hard this next two weeks and learn the asignments given to them. TCLC Lynn Camp wears the ORANGE and BLACK just like the RAMS. We are about to find out who wears it better!!
  3. Both Tomcats and Lions have loads of pride. But the cats have more then just pride. Ashland has loads more talent, backup players and speed. It wont take the tomcat running backs long before they start breaking away on long runs. The tomcats will wear down the lions and end the regular season with a big win over a rival. Ashland +20 A tune-up game for the playoffs!!
  4. Boyle Co wins in a good game to watch. Christian Co doesn't have the defense to slow down BC enough to out score them. CC has a very nice team. But I think BC has a little more on both sides of the ball. Boyle 28-20
  5. LCA will win this game. Corbin I don't think has enough defense to stop LCA's duel attack of running and passing. If you are good enough to slow down the D-TRAIN. Then watch out. This kid doesn't get talked about as much as D. Hayden.(spelling?). But Whitt the QB is, I think the most talented athlete on the team. He has a rocket for an arm. He scrambles better then any QB I've ever seen. If Corbin forces LCA to throw Whitt will wear the linemen down. Because you won't catch him in the backfield. His downfield vision is something else. I have watched this kid play 6 or 7 times. He's the real deal. This will be a good game. And I may be forced to travel 125 miles by the kids to watch it. But in the end I think LCA wins in a high scoring game 42-30. If you have a QB you can throw on LCA.
  6. Blow out Games. (over 24 points): Mayfield, Ft Campbell, Lone Oak, John Hardin. Games under 24 points: Highlands, Mason Co., Lawrence Co and Murray Close games and maybe upsets: Allen Co Scotts, Prestonsburg My team has a by week. So I think my sons and I may travel down to see Mason Co vs Greenup Co. which is the closet game. And should be a good one. But the kids may want to see the Ashland vs Boyd Co game or travel 125 miles west to see the LCA vs Corbin game. That one should be a dog fight. KIDS RULE. (in my family?):taz:
  7. Crittenden isn't undefeated anymore. Mayfield took care of that last friday in a big way.
  8. I think that Mason Co. has way to much speed and experience for Greenup Co. I think Greenup Co will put up a valiant fight. But in the end Mason Co will come out with the victory. Mason Co 38-20. Go out play hard and have fun.:dancingpa
  9. While I was setting in the stands last night I was wishing we would go to the hurry up offense. Russell seemed to be slow getting lined up on defense at times. Don't know if they were tired or confused with the RAM style offense. But man what a great game to play right before the playoffs. And get that X-QB on the payroll ASAP.
  10. Thanks for the invite. But my wife just looked at me and my son and said NO It's about a six hour drive from Raceland. We are up in the corner of Ohio and West Virginia borders. But come State championship time we will be at WKU. Hopefully FC will be their. Our by week is this coming friday. YOU NEVER KNOW
  11. Should be about a 2 1/2 hour drive or more. You go down Rt 23 past Louisa, Paintsville and at around Pikeville you take Rt 119 East to Belfry. Its about 25 miles east of Pikeville on the Weat Virginia border. BIG HILLS. GOOD LUCK
  12. Lewis Co You should be proud. We can see the improvement over the second half of the season all the way over here in Raceland. Great job. And a great win.:thumb::thumb:
  13. FORT CAMPBELL FOOTBALL What a machine.. Your about to score your 500th point in the regular season (499). Your defense has only given up 21 points the last 6 games. Forget the class. (AA). You deserve to be talked about when it comes to the best in the state. What a team. I would love to see you play.:notworthy::isurrender::notworthy:
  14. Big win for you. Great job LYNN CAMP.
  15. CONGRATULATIONS GREENUP COUNTY A great win for you. By looking at the score. Your defense showed up and played a heck of a game. GOOD job.
  16. GOOD WIN LCA LCA has the better line, running backs, QB, coaching staff, water boy, cheerleaders, radio anouncers ect.. BUT the Eagles have the REFS. Oh well, still didn't help.:taz::taz: A big win makes the 125 mile trip a lot easier and faster.
  17. THE PRIDE IS BACK IN BULLDOG FOOTBALL! You have had a great year BULLDOGS.But a new season starts for you in a couple of weeks. Stay focused. Play hard.:notworthy::notworthy::notworthy: Congrats from Raceland.
  18. You have a good team and they will bounce back. You are right about what you said above. Really good teams can make a good team look bad on any given night.
  19. I know the Russell fans are upset they lost to RACELAND. Everyone had RUSSELL winning.
  20. They brought in the special forces!!:sssh:
  21. GREAT JOB FT KNOX You made this old vet who was stationed on post their two times for a total of eight years very proud. I've been away for awhile and my old unit isn't their anymore. But I still keep tabs on you. Again, job well done.. :notworthy::notworthy::notworthy:
  22. CONGRATULATIONS RAMS A great job goes to- The defense. What a display of determination. From the defense interior line to the linebackers to the corners and safety. You did a great job. Jones is such a hard nose runner. And you did a magnificent job of keeping him under control. A lot of times it looked like Jones was going to break away. But you held on to a leg or a jersey till help came. All of you came out hitting and never gave up. A great job goes out to the offense as well. This IMO is the best you have looked coming out after half time all year. Your execution was really good the second half. The line did a great job of protecting the QB. And it looked like all of the receivers did a great job of running the routes. The backs started hitting the holes the second half. And that really helped. And a shout out goes to the Coaching staff. All of you did a great job of preparing this team for a tough battle. The defense scheme was awesome. The offense scheme was a very good one also. I love those post routes...A great job of spreading the ball over the field. BUT --------- We won't talk about special teams on a special night. No names mentioned because after I thought about it for awhile. I came to the conclusion that although alot of players stood out tonight. Alot of players that did equally as well never get mentioned. So no names. This was a total team effort. It had to be or we wouldn't have won the game. BE PROUD Also a shout out to RUSSELL. Your a very hard hitting team. You play with so much heart. You brought the best out in the RAMS tonight. Good luck in the playoffs.
  23. CONGRATULATIONS MASON COUNTY ...
  24. Total DOMINANCE...:notworthy::notworthy::notworthy: You earned your respect tonight. Great job Mayfield. I said by 21 points. But you must have totaly dominated CC tonight.
