If you look at the strength of schedules Beechwood vs Mayfield. It don't compare. Mayfield is a very very good team. I'm not knocking them. Please get that straight. But Look at the teams records you have played vs Beechwood. The Fulton schools. Neither could beat any Northern team. Thats two. #3. Ballard Memorial has won two games and lost six games by an avg of 28 ppg. #4. Calloway Co 3 wins They lose by an avg of 27.2 ppg. #5 Paducah T. 3 wins 6 loses. So to compare is crazy. That being said. I think Mayfield it an awesome team. And they will prove it friday night. As will Beechwood.

They sure are putting a pounding on anybody on the other side of the ball. It must be fun to watch. And it helps out the area you live in. Are you saying your district and non district games were as tough or tougher then Beechwoods? I think not!!:walk::walk::sssh:

If Mayfield, Critt. Co, Raceland, LCA and any other 1A school had played the schedule Beechwood has played we would all have the same losses. Look at who they lost to. #1 Highlands AAAAA, #8AAAAA Covington Cath. and #10 AAAAA Dexie Heights. Everyone else that is close to 1A schools they have destroyed. I think GA and LuckyD and others are right. Don't look past this what must be a very very good 1A school. I would say that no other 1A, 2A schools have come close to playing the schedule Beechwood has played. They put 20 points on the board vs what many think is the over all #1 team in the state HIGHLANDS. And now that they are playing 1A district games they are putting up 52.0 ppg and only giving up 4.0 ppg. What other team is doing that? This team is good. Very Very Good. I think I would like to play #1 LCA again. JMO And friday they play #9 Bellevue. Now that is a schedule to play.

If you don't beat Crittenden Co friday. Your Mayfield team will be swaping places with Crittenden Co. But I don't think that will happen. Good luck to both teams.

If Mason Co loses a game this year. Does that mean they really didn't get beat. They just beat themselves!! :ohbrother:

It looks like Corbin is a very good team. But 4 of the games that they won were by teams with 2 wins or less.:idunno: That will really hurt you in the rankings. At least in the BGP poll.

Your right. Bracken is undefeated this year...0-8.....They haven't defeated anyone this year. Raceland should have played some of these schools. Bracken Co and Lewis Co and drop Ashland and Russell, Fleming Co. ect Poll rankings 1. BGP 2. All other polls

I was wonering about Lawrance Co. How close to the top 10 are they? They have an 8-0 record They have beaten I know of two good teams in Sheldon Clark and Rowan Co. They have scored 369 points and only allowed 97. They are I think the only team to have less then 100 points scored on them and not be in the top 10. Are they #11?

This is why I only look at the BGP poll. I'm not crazy about any of them. But BGP is the best IMO. I was looking at my local paper this morning. I always go straight to the sports. I noticed the AP state class standings. I don't know much about the teams that arn't in our district or out of my local area. So I'm only talking about local teams. I was looking at the top 10 standings in the class 1A poll. I see #1 Mayfield #2 LCA, # 3 Critt. Co #4 Beechwood. All is ok with me so far. But I don't know why LCA isn't #1. But still ok with it. I look on down and see Fairview at #8 I think, maybe #9. But I don't see Raceland. Just two weeks ago we played Fairview and won the game 14-6. We held them to 59 yards rushing and 60 yards passing for a total of 109 yards. Not bad for the defense. The Rams also had 3 int's. I don't know how much more you can stuff someones offense. Win the game and still they are ranked higher then you. Fairview has lost two games. And has played one of the weakest schedules in class 1A. The two games they lost was to Raceland and East Carter. East Carter has only won 1 game this year and that was Fairview. Raceland beat East Carter 46-10. Fairview and Raceland both are 3-1 in region play. But Fairview is only 2-1 in district play. While the Rams are 3-1. And Fairview hasn't played LCA yet. So most likely Fairview will be 2-2 in district play and in 3rd place unless the sky falls friday Fairview will lose their 3rd district game. That means Fairview finishes 3rd in district play. And Raceland 2nd. So how can this be? Does the other polls only look at won and lose records? How do they come up with some of this stuff? Can someone defend the rankings that the AP put out this week. :idunno::madman:

Rivalry games IMO are great for the communities. Your always going to have your wacko's out their in anything you do. It get's so poltical anymore. You have people thinking and saying: We need to calm down. People are getting to crazy about this or that. We should give everyone a trophy. We don't want to leave any one out. We may hurt someones feelings. "PLEASE" It's a sport. It's healthy to compete in all aspects of the game. From players to fans. So some people think we shouldn't have games like this because someone or some people might get out of hand. Thats about 1% of the people. So the 99% suffer because of the 1%. Thats kind of like 95% of the people would like prayer in class and other places. But 5% say no. So the 95% suffer for it. Or some may want to hang a USA flag in the yard that they bought and payed for but they can"t because 1% of the population says no. I seen on the news about two weeks ago I think it was North Carolina. The little league soccer, football and baseball teams had TEAM SHERIFFs. If you were caught cheering for your child or someone elses child you were asked to be quiet. If you did it again you had to leave the game. You could only cheer for the team. WHAT THE HECK IS THE USA coming to. You can't cheer for a child!!!!!! We have people thinking rivalry games are being to mean to each. Maybe we should all wear big peace signs and hug each and every time we see each other. I just think that even bringing up this subject is crazy. IT PAYS TO BE IN THE MINORITY Man I feel better

I wouldn't go that far. Mayfield and CC is getting respect. I just finished reading the paper and the AP has #1 Mayfield, #2 LCA, #3 Critt. Co and #4 Beechwood. I would say that having 2 of the top 3 class A teams in the state voted by the so called experts is very good and getting respect. :idunno: Anyway I hope both teams play to the full ability. And it's a game both will talk about for years. I know we didn't help your teams in the rankings last week after LCA killed us. We couldn't stop them on defense. We were missing our 325lb nose guard to the flu and our best inside linebacker to a bad ankle. So Hayden ate us up. We are to thin to be missing those star players. And our QB went out with a hand injury. Had to go to the wildcat offense.

I think that Boyd Co's roll comes to a screeching hault. Boyd won it's last two games and I think that is great for the kids of Boyd Co. But all winning streaks come to an end and Boyd's will friday night in a big way. The Bulldogs will keep the Lions caged up all night friday. It will be a tough hard hitting physical game for the Lions. SunnyD' I think I'll get this one right. I haven't been right to many times lately. I hope it's a good game and both teams come ready to play hard. Stay healthy.

I'm really impressed with the way he has run the ball the last three games. Must be some great blocking. I need to ask one thing though. How do you run for 260 yards and only have one td? Fleming Co has a very big line. Russell's line must have pushed FC around alot. And 195 yards rushing vs Mason Co is just awesome. I can't wait to see him run and the holes the line tries to open up when we play. This will be a big challenge for our Defense. I know the atmosphere will be great. I hope the game will be the same. It should be. I'm sure our defensive coach will think of some way to slow down the Russell Locomotive. I'm not offering good luck to you and all of the Russell family. But I do hope we all play injury free. The good luck stuff will come next week! You have a good team I know that. But it's not one of the better teams of the past that people want to see. But you can look at the stats and scores and see that improvement has been made through the season.
