My thoughts are that one will win and one will lose!

Crit rolls! Mayfield falls.:ylsuper:

Now Shaggy12 deep down in your heart you know this isn't going to happen. But you do have four days to fantasize. I can see 375 miles away to your east that Mayfield will TCB. (take care of business). But anyway good luck to you and all of the CC and Mayfield teams and fans. Should be a hard fought game. :thumb::thumb: I'll be checking out your game.

Mayfield 28-20.

Looking at this one from a distance and watching scores with little knowledge of the players on the teams, I expect Mayfield to win by a couple of scores. I also think if Mayfield loses, I would guess they are not good enough to get to the state title game. If Mayfield wins by a couple scores or more, then they prove to me they are a serious threat to get to the state title game.

I agree if Mayfield can't handle them with ease then BG probably won't happen or if they got there they wouldn't win. But I look for Mayfield to roll. CC may shut down 1 or 2 players but not all. The question to me is what can CC do if JD Gray gets shut down? If CC gets behind can they come back, Mayfield has done this beating Trousdale Co the #1 2A school in Tenn. I'm looking for a 2 plus td victory.

If thats all your looking for I think you will be just fine. :thumb:

I think Mayfield likely wins, but, lets not forget CC did beat Mayfield twice last year and have 18 of 22 starters returning, plus, they're at home. I think either team is good enough to make it past Beechwood, Holy Cross or Frankfort this year and to the title game. Although this game is big for homefield purposes in the playoffs, in the bigger picture, theres a 95% chance that these 2 teams will play again in the Regional finals and both teams are capable of taking one or both or losing one or both...

Kinda what I think too. I'll say Mayfield wins by a TD...

Doesn't really matter to me either way. I'm from Lone Oak. Just saying, Crit's gonna be tough, again.:D

I think this one is a knock down drag out affair...it will be Crittenden's Defense against Mayfield's offense this Friday night. If Mayfield can get it into a shootout then the Cards win...if CC can keep Mayfield to under 24 points then it can go either way as J.D. Gray has been a Cardinal killer the past two years...especially last season...I for one will be sending that young man a Thank You Graduation card this spring...lol. We have a lot of respect for that young man and for the Rockets. While some are predicting a 2 TD or more margin for Mayfield...I will take a one point win in Marion Friday night meaning that we don't have to travel this year in the 2nd round of the playoffs (assuming we make it out of the 1st round).

I am sure that Coach Starnes will be playing up the "no respect" aspect for this Friday night with him having most of his team back from last year's team that beat Mayfield twice...while this is true...Mayfield is much improved from a season ago. My one main concern is the off week for Mayfield last week and not having to really play the starters past the first half the past month always concerns me when they all of a sudden have to go both halves in a close ballgame.

With Mayfield being as healthy as they have been all year...I say Mayfield 28-20 in a hard fought game at Marion!!! And hopefully both teams come out healthy in this one and see each other the week before Thanksgiving in the regional finals!!!

On a side note for anyone wanting this info...Louisville Holy Cross will be travelling to Paducah Tilghman this Saturday at I believe 2pm for a game...Holy Cross more than likely will be the opponent for the loser of the Mayfield-Crittenden game in the 2nd round of the playoffs at Louisville.

I’m not sure CC has gone up against a team that can pass the ball as good as Mayfield. The home field might help a little, but I still think Mayfield wins by a TD.
