Bluegrasspreps.com 4A Rankings (October 20th)

Featured Replies

1. Boyle County at East Jessamine

2. Bell County at McCreary Central

3. Lexington Catholic vs. West Jessamine

4. Lone Oak -- OPEN

5. Allen County-Scottsville vs. Russell County

6. Marion County vs. North Bullitt

7. Western at #10 Valley

8. Franklin-Simpson at Logan County

9. Holmes at Cincinnati Withrow, OH

10. Valley vs. #7 Western

Lone Oak probably deserves to be ranked 3rd. Even though it was a long trip early in the year for LexCath, Long Oak did beat them head to head. Boyle and Bell is the game I think most people want to see again this year. That would be a huge game!

Interested to see what Holmes does against Withrow.

I was wonering about Lawrance Co. How close to the top 10 are they? They have an 8-0 record

They have beaten I know of two good teams in Sheldon Clark and Rowan Co.

They have scored 369 points and only allowed 97.

They are I think the only team to have less then 100 points scored on them and not be in the top 10. Are they #11?

I was wondering about Lawrence County myself. It seems pretty late in the year to have an undefeated team out of the top ten.

Is Rowan County good? One of their losses is to Garrard County, which is a sub-.500 3A team.

My thought at the time was that Lawrence probably caught Sheldon Clark at a good time, just after what was probably an emotional win over Breathitt County.

The rest of Lawrence's schedule is awful ... among 4A teams, their schedule is close to the bottom.

I mentioned this in the last 4A rankings. I think Lawerence County is deserving of a top 10 ranking. So I agree with you.

^^^With that being said, overall good ranking! You guys do a great job! :thumb:

Lawrence County would be in the top 15 or 20, but they play in what is probably the weakest 4A district.

You may be right. But they are beating the bottom to death.:D

He does that.

Lawrence Co. will have a chance to prove all the doubters wrong in the playoffs. If they have turned a corner with their program they need to spice up the schedule a little more next year if possible. They have been very good in the past, but not for several years.
