WOW - Thought this game was the best in the west.

Me too, Coach... The Cardinals pretty much played a flawless game. They were the more physical team on both sides of the ball, the OL and DL won the battle in the trenches and there speed was just too much for the Rockets.

 

Mayfield - 371 total yds ... Crittenden - 161 total yds

Mayfield - 252 rushing yds ... Crittenden - 90 rushing yds

Mayfield - 119 passing yds ... Crittenden - 71 passing yds

 

Murrell - 154 yds rushing - 2 TDs

Shelton - 3 catches x 40 yds - 1 TD

Richardson - 3 catches x 59 yds - 2 TDs

Guhy - 8 x 14 for 119 yds and 3 TDs

Noonan - 75 yds rushing

Has anyone seen both Mayfield and Beechwood? Beechies would have to travel to western Kentucky for the state semifinal. Just curious as to who would be considered the better of the two.

Bluto, LCAs a great team, no doubt, but, I seriously feel this Mayfield team will be an extremely hard opponent for anyone. Hopefully, we'll get to see these 2 teams meet up in BGreen.

 

Mayfield's statistician, who's been doing Mayfield stats for probably 35-40 yrs said at halftime that this team may be one of the best offensive teams he's seen at Mayfield, simply because of all the weapons they have and there diversity and thats saying alot. They just play hard every play and all have great attitudes and play team ball. No egos which has been a problem the past few yrs. There alot of fun to watch and there defense is getting better every week.

Wasn't even close really. Mayfield is a better team no doubt. Didn't think they were 35 points better, but who knows. Crittenden played as bad as they possibly could but good teams make ya do that. Mayfield has an excellent shot at state. They are just too fast for the Rockets

I think most saw a Mayfield win in the cards (get it?), but not this kind of domination.

You have a good team and they will bounce back. You are right about what you said above. Really good teams can make a good team look bad on any given night.

Mayfield played very well tonight...especially on defense. Mayfield was able to contain J.D. Gray for the most part tonight and if the defense can play like they did tonight along with the high powered offense they are showing then they will be a tough out of the playoffs. Tonights win was nice for the revenge from last year...but more importantly someone has to come to War Memorial and knock us out of the playoffs. Will be nice not to have to travel the long rides to the central part of the state this year.

 

Crittenden County will bounce back...they have too good of a team not too...and I am sure we will them again in the playoffs
