12 remaining unbeatens

Featured Replies

1a - Mayfield

2a - Ft Campbell/Murray/Prestonsburg

3a - Somerset/Mason Co

4a - Boyle Co/Lone Oak/Lawrence Co/Allen Co-Scotts.

5a - Highlands/John Hardin

6a - none

Somerset is the only guaranteed undefeated as they've got an open week. Here's the schedule for the others:

(Mayfield) @ 2a-Caldwell Co

5a-Hopkinsville @ (Ft Campbell)

1a-Crittenden Co @ (Murray)

(Prestonsburg) @ 3a-Pike Co Central

(Mason Co) @ 4a-Greenup Co

(Boyle Co) @ 5a-Christian Co

(Lone Oak) @ 2a-Heath

(Lawrence Co) @ Tolsia, WV

2a-Monroe Co @ (Allen Co-Scotts)

6a-Ryle @ (Highlands)

6a-Central Hardin @ (John Hardin)

1) How many of these will remain perfect for the season?

2) Who will they be?

3) Which team is most likely to lose this week?

It looks like there are several tough games for our final unbeatens next weekend.

I'm not predicting losses, but I think Crittenden County could struggle at Murray, Prestonsburg might struggle with a resurgent Pike County Central club, Boyle County has a long trip to play a good Christian County team, and Allen County-Scottsville will have a tough matchup with a local rival in Monroe County, a team smarting from a close loss for the district championship.

Barring any crazy happenings this week, Fort Campbell will beat 5A Hopkinsville this coming Friday to finish the regular season undefeated.

Later.

Highlands at Ryle could be a bit of problem as the Bluebirds are a bit banged up right now but they should still come away with the victory.

Isn't this game at Highlands??? :idunno:

Yes. It's a Highlands home game.

Lone Oak should handle Heath but needs to stay focused on the goal at hand and that is build momentum for a nice playoff run. Probably not going to be a cakewalk for us to be region champs, then again if it was it wouldnt be so special......

I had meant to say Highlands vs Ryle in my post, so my bad!

The John Hardin vs Central game should be decent. John is probably a couple TD's favorite going in. The Dawgs are going for a perfect regular season with this one being at home.

Mason County should stay unbeaten also. Mason plays Greenup County who has only 3 wins and has lost to two teams Mason has beaten.

Crittenden isn't undefeated anymore. Mayfield took care of that last friday in a big way.

Blow out Games. (over 24 points): Mayfield, Ft Campbell, Lone Oak, John Hardin.

Games under 24 points: Highlands, Mason Co., Lawrence Co and Murray

Close games and maybe upsets: Allen Co Scotts, Prestonsburg

My team has a by week. So I think my sons and I may travel down to see Mason Co vs Greenup Co. which is the closet game. And should be a good one. But the kids may want to see the Ashland vs Boyd Co game or travel 125 miles west to see the LCA vs Corbin game. That one should be a dog fight. KIDS RULE. (in my family?):taz:

I'm hoping the Royals are able to complete their first-ever undefeated regular season.

I said before the season started that I liked the way the schedule fell. Having the two big (Russell and Fleming County) District rivalry games at home; replacing the two bigger NKY schools contribute to a favorable schedule.
