Not true. Only if the job is open with a teaching position attached. Here is the bylaw from KHSAA. Case BL-27-11- Does the KHSAA have regulations regarding job postings for the hiring of coaches? No. Bylaw 27 includes the requirements for those holding positions, but hiring, posting and employment policies are established at the local school district level. Schools shall comply with published rules on all postings within the district, as well as all other KDE hiring regulations. Case BL-27-12– Are coaches The district can hire within without posting the job. 30 days only applies to coaching jobs with teaching positions that will be open.

I think they are talking about Coach Bill Mason at Mercer Co. not Mason Co. as the title of the thread states. Someone needs to fix this.

According to the numbers I saw from the KHSAA, Brossart is 2A. I dont think there is anyway around it. Sorry.

What has happened to Carroll? Walton, in my opinion is not that good this year? Owen handled them pretty easily.

Well I guess no one cares about the time and hardwork athletes put into the less popular sports such as tennis.

Who can we look for to step out into the spotlight this year. Teams as well as individual players. Trimble County will have four seniors on this years squad, not in the last three years have they had such an experienced team. Look for them to compete with the likes of South Oldham and Western Hills led by #1 Singles Cody Webster.

Gallatin was really not very good this year. Our entire district this year was pretty weak, even Frankfort could only be considered mediocre after injuries.

And after they beat the mountain teams you are talking about they will have to listen to St. X and Trinity say they havent played them. Sounds to me like a lose/lose situation for the Bluebirds.
