Who do you think has the best chance of denying "that team from Fort Thomas" their 19th state championship? Now...this thread is not about any 5A teams from northern Campbell County. I don't want to hear that team even mentioned!

 

• I don't want to hear about cake.
  
• I don't want to hear about any kind of flying animal.
  
• I don't want to hear about players with famous dads.
  
• I don't want to hear about stadiums which can only be accessed by a treacherous, five-hour hike.
  
• I don't want to hear about stadiums where the visitors bench is in the 8th row of the stands
  
• I don't want to hear about teams who have celebratory devices swiped from the sunken wreckage of a pontoon boat at Lake Cumberland.
  
• I don't want to see the letter H too close to any other letter H or an S.
  
• I don't want to even see blue colored fonts.
  

With that said, have at it. Let's hear who you think can win 5A, other than...well, you know..."them."

I think Highlands is head and shoulders above the rest, but, with that said, in a 1 game scenario, anything could happen. I'd think it would be from the west side of the bracket, simply because if someone from the east were to knock them out, then they'd have a hard time getting up for another team like they'd have to for Highlands. I'd say John Hardin, BGreen and Owensboro, in that order...

You didn't read my "rules" very closely. :irked:

 

John Hardin might have the best chance, albeit a very small chance.

I'll go with Christian Co. They have played a tougher schedule than most teams from the west so they should be ready for the playoffs. I don't think John Hardin has played a challenging enough schedule.

Tough to pick between John Hardin, Bowling Green and Christian County. I'm going to go with John Hardin, for no other reason than variety.

I really think Owensboro could win because I don't think OHS has played anywhere near what they are capable of this season. I love OHS' team speed. The Devils have a 3 or 4 guys that can take it to the house on any given play. It's just a matter of putting it all together. Penalites, dropped passes, getting the play in on time, turnovers, are just a few of the problems OHS has had this season. I think in a one game shot against "you know who" that OHS could make a game of it and possibly win. The biggest thing against a team from the west particuarly Region 1 is that its murderors row just to get to the championship game. Every year the west team has very little left in the title game.
