  1. Hey All, Thanks for the informattion with regard to the NKY Bulldogs games for me and the rest of the fans on BGP's. All you guys did a great job in recapping each of the games. Thanks for posting this information, another great reason to join BGP's!!!! Thanks again!!!
  2. Thanks for the links...... However, anyone on site that can provide updates with regard to the tournament, atmosphere and the Northern Kentucky Bulldogs (17U - Pool 29)? It looks like they finished 1-1 in the pool play and made the Silver Tourney. It looks like they blew out Spice Gym Rats but then turned around and got beat up by Virginia Assault Gold. Was anyone at the games that can provide an update here on BGP? Who is playing well for them?

I too would like to see him go back to being a quarterback for the breds as a junior. I agree, his size and potential is definitely there. When does football start for the Breds?
  4. So, what you are saying it is the position of the ball (as long as it is short of the third base bag) when the fielder touches it as to whether or not it is fair or foul? Not where the ball last establishes position. You guys must be right because I was the only one that felt it might be fair but didn't know. Everyone else seemed to think like you guys. I hate it when this happens. My argument against the ball rolling down the line was that it (the ball) was establishing itself (fair/foul) while heading to the base and wherever the ball is when it is touched is what it is called because the ball was able to establish itself prior to being touched. My point was that this ball established itself in fair territory and not in foul territory before it was touched. I think you are saying that it is where the ball is in relation to the foul line (as long as it is before it gets to the base) when it is touched determines fair/foul. Right?
  5. Here's the situation in a Little League game this weekend: Batter hits a high pop up between pitchers mound and third base. The ball bounces once in fair territory and is not touched. It hits the hard ground with spin and bounces into foul territory where the third baseman catches the ball short of third base but in foul territory. So, the ball hit the ground once in fair territory, takes a high bounce into foul territory where it does NOT hit the ground again before the fielder (also in foul territory) catches the ball. This all occurs short of the ball getting to the third base bag. Is it a Fair or Foul ball? The ump called the ball FOUL. If anyone knows what the correct call is and if/where this can be found in the baseball rule book, it would be appreciated.
  6. Does anyone have information with regard to the Brossart / NCC game from yesterday? Score? Who played well? Who pitched (winning pitcher/losing pitcher)? I heard Brossart was up early and NCC came from behind to win the game? Any details about the game (big hits, etc.)? Also, any idea on who will be pitching the NCC / Holy Cross game today?
  7. Any updates as to whether or not these games are still on for today? If/when they get postponed/rescheduled can someone please post new days and times in this thread?
  8. Has NCC played CCH and/or Dixie this year? If so, results? I've only seen them play once this year and came away very impressed with their talent. Do teams drop players down from varsity to play in the JV tournament :idunno:?
  9. Very funny and best line of the thread....
  10. paNDA, You're the best!!! Thanks for all your efforts. These updates were perfect!!! Congrats to Nell and the girls!!!:dancingpa Good to hear Randy Moss was there as well.:thumb: Do you know when and who they play next?
  11. Thanks paNDA, you must have been reading my mind. I just started a thread seeking updates on this game. Go Rebels!!!
  12. It looks like paNDA started an update thread at 1:35pm when I was starting this thread. I guess this thread can be closed. Panda is always one step ahead!!!!
  13. Does anyone have any updates with regard to this game? Is it on the radio or internet? Go Rebels!
  14. Ut oh! I think we need to limit paNDA's memory stick!!!! Some of those pictures he has are very damaging!
  15. 100% agree!! Remember the good ole' days when the coach would coach and the players played? Ahh, and the parents.... they stayed out of it and had no influence? I hope this isn't the case, however...... Kind of reminds me of what happened at NCC and the influence of parents on the administration within the girls program.
  16. I am not a Dixie fan or follower and last night was the first time I have seen them play and heard twice last night (from seperate individuals in seperate conversations) this very same thing. Not that it is right or the truth, just what is circulating in some basketball circles.
  17.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh: Very funny CCR, err, CovCathiRadio.... 1st quarter: Holmes - 20 Boone - 19 Final: Holmes - 37 Boone - 39 Does offensive explosion mean more than 40 points being scored? If so, then this game is just short of an offensive explosion. Let the midnight special..... shine a light on me....
  18. Amen! I believe Boone 'looked' inside once with this matchup and then rotated the ball around the key. The first 5 times down the court in the second half, I would have exploited this matchup (especially with Pangallo having 3 fouls.) even if you have to force the ball inside to Montgomery. I thought the more the game went on the sloppier Boone played. Thank goodness the game wasn't 2 minutes longer!!! Giesler is a beast. It looked at times that Boone had no idea where he was on the court when NCC had the ball. There were times he was WIDE open. Once he got the ball down low (or even at the free throw line), he was extremely hard to stop. He is a very good, strong player! In my opinion, definitely a D1 prospect. If someone would have told me that Cooper Downs (3 big free throws) and McQuery (3 pointer) individually would have outscored Brown (0 points) and Montgomery (2 points) combined, I would have said no way Boone wins this game!! Montgomery did have a bunch of rebounds (I would guess 8 - 10).
  19. Plus Brown is only averaging 12 1/2 minutes / game this year. Lately, he has been playing greater minutes. Heck, that is less than a half per game. I would put these stats up against any other 6th man around.
  20. Agreed! :thumb: Points directly to coaching to me. :deadhorse: They both played JV last year (because of their Sophomore status) and IMO both deserved more playing time on varsity.
  21. Good Point :thumb: Nice stats for the 6th man.... Boone's Leaders: Scoring 1 Mike Gabbard 9.6 pts / game 2 Trevan Brown 9.6 pts / game 3 Travis Montgomery 8.7 pts / game Rebounds 1 Travis Montgomery 5.6 rebs / game 2 Ronald Cotton 3.9 rebs / game 3 Trevan Brown 3.8 rebs / game 4 Andy Earls 3.4 rebs / game
  22. And now he is the captain of the cheerleading team? Wow! :scared:
  23. :thumb: Good point! :thumb: Another good point! :thumb: Third good point! As far as the JV kids comment goes. I agree, if these two QUIT at Thanksgiving or even Christmas (since I am sure they were frustrated then as well with the coaching style), it at least allows the TEAM to work with a new lineup, substitutions, experience, etc.. Yeah, quitting at the end of the season gets back at your coach alright, however, doesn't really endear yourself to your FORMER teammates and I'm sure friends!!!
