In the prediction thread I stated my concern about the CCH guards being able to handle the Boone perimeter pressure. I didn't see the game but I heard Thelen/Wellbrock combined for only 7 first half shot attempts. I'm going to assume that was at least partly due to the perimeter D. Its Boone's one constant.

Is the only way to spell this game for CovCath tonight.

27 TO's and 0/8 from behind the arch tells you everything you need to know about this game for CovCath!

BTW when was the last time neither team in a HS game failed to sink a trey in a game, as Boone was 0/2 from behind the arch.

OUCH !!! I heard that besides Maschinot and Evans being out, Hudepohl was out as well, and Max was sick and played very little. If true, well, then the CCH guards really did not play much. One other thing I heard was the number of missed bunnies by Cov Cath. So, as TOG states, it sounds like and Ugly, ugly game.

Didn't think it would be that bad. Congrats to the Rebels.

Cov Cath should throw that game tape out the back window and get back to work. Boone Co showing that they are the 9th Region Dow Jonesers.

Was not expecting this result for this game. Boone's man to man defense was outstanding and had a lot to do with all the CCH turnovers. It seemed like there was about a 5 minute stretch in the 3rd period where I don't think CCH even got off a shot. Congrats to the Rebels on a well deserved win.

Boone outplayed CCH in every facet and phase of the game. Huge gap between these two teams.

Lets keep it in perspective. If CCH was without their #1, #2, and #3 ballhandler they had zero chance against Boone.

Would not have mattered, IMO. Could not hit shots when they had them, and Boone's inside game totally outplayed them.

So you take, Gabbard, Popp and one of the other guards out of the game totally, and oh yea, one of the other ones too is sick and can only play a few minutes, and Boone would be the same team???????? I know Boone is solid, but there is no way they would have been the same. No way can you say it would not have mattered.
