Newport Central Catholic beat Harrison Co at Harrison why would NCC not get in that top 25 if Harrison is #20???:confused:

Cov Cath looked ok but NCC looked terrible. I understand that Coach Schulkens was not in attendance as his grandmother passed away. This I'm sure had an affect on NCC as our prayers are with Coach Schulkens. It's early folks and if I remember correctly NCC and CovCath both started this way last year????

Competition will make them better but it won't make their pitching any better which we'll agree is a problem.

Boone is looking very solid. Their SS I believe is Carroll has appeared out of no where. He can flat out play! Saw him against Highlands and NCC and he was splendid. I don't do stats but Boone was up 5-1 and Bellevue made a run. Bellevue is an ok team and it's early in the season I know but not sure if the can play day in and day out with these bigger schools. They do work hard.

Conner hit the ball very well and yes Jeremy Connor started on the hill. He still doesn't look like he is locating pitches well.

don't have stats but Brake had a 3 run HR for Conner and for NCC Connor continued his hot hitting going 2-3. NCC is struggling behind the plate as Conner ran with ease and scored 2 runs on a bad throw trying to pick a runner off 3rd. Conner hit well as a team tonight and will a tough team to beat this year. NCC seems to have a solid team but just wasn't there tonight

I think NCC wins this game. Boone is a good team but not as experienced. NCC is pretty solid at the plate and even though their pitching (after Connor) is still needing to prove itself defensivley NCC is strong.

Isn't the Ohio Ky All Star game at Thomas More College coming soon? Anyone have anything on this game such as date, game time, rosters? I believe there is a boys and girls game but haven't heard anything yet can someone help out? It was a great time last year!!!!

I mentioned in a different thread that someone said Connor didn't look real sharp on the mound. This from Mr. Skinner's article on nky.com Connor said he didn't locate his pitches the way he wanted.
