  1. any situation is ideal for CovCath to make a run they're the best team in the tourney. IMO CovCath would rather play NewCath when Isler is throwing. Although if it's a 2nd round game they avoid seeing Connor throwing for NewCath.
  2. A CovCath vs. NewCath final would be great to see. The Colonels have the edge and momentum for sure. But it's BASEBALL anything can happen and it'll be a great tourney for sure!!!!!
  3. I understand and agree and certainly challenging a rule. The hitter simply put up his right hand requested time and the pitcher stopped his delivery this is a judgement call and it's my opinion that the umpire should have called a balk. The hitter stayed in the box and made no unsportsmanlike moves.
  4. A well executed and very well coached game by Highlands.
  5. can the players wear spikes or do they require tirf shoes or rubber cleats?
  6. If the pitcher starts his delivery to the plate he must finish. If he stops on his own it's a balk.
  7. the put his hand up, turned his head to the umpire requesting time. The hitter never left the box. It was a balk and a run should have scored for NCC the hitter struck out 2 pitches later. Both pitchers did a great job.
  8. Agree on the play at short it was sick!!!!! HR was a blast indeed. Bellevue does deserve to be in the regional tourney. Don't understand the seeding vs drawiing situation. It hurt Bellevue for sure. If the tigers are on the other bracket they play Monday(IMO)!
  9. of course it is. Credit was given to both players as they both played well.
  10. A 3-1 fastball down the middle of the plate waist high is a "bad pitch" especially to a good hitter. The hits and errors......I guess it comes down to who's keepong the official book. Solid performance by Jones and Connor.
  11. I guess Connor threw one bad pitch and it was served up to Jones who hit it a ton!!!! Not sure of the official scoring but that was the only earned run from what I hear!!!!
  12. Highlands in 5 innings. I'm sure Sanola will throw and will to much for the Devils.
  13. I don't think that Connor would purposley put Jones on. If I remember in last years regional finals he wouldn't walk Mailie! Connor a competitive spirit and appears to be able to out smart most hitters. Interesting match up indeed but I'll take Connor. The Breds have been hitting the heck out of the ball as well the 2 Kelly's have been quit distructive at the plate as of late!
  14. great post! Your comments make good sense.
  15. I understand and agree with what "I think" you're saying. Which is why i like Connor. He not only has a fantastic glove, he can run well, hits well and then is one of top pitcher's in the area. I like the guys for these type of awards that just do a little more.
  16. Coach Krumps is the hands down the picture of baseball. Great coach and most of all a great person.
  17. This is fun!!!!! What is the criteria for POY? Yes Maile hits well and is a good catcher. Isler, Smith are great pitchers and hitting well, I like Connor because he's tops in alot of catagories which IMO is more of a "complete" player. Jones yes is a very good player as well. A solid case can be made for all I just hope it's not a popularity contest, there are several deserving players
  18. I agree with you Great Game this is from Queencityhigh.com back in April! "Connor is among the statistical leaders in just about every offensive category, but it's his batting average that is truly amazing. Connor is hitting an astounding .700" ESPNrise magazine has him listed as the #1 - 2nd baseman in Greater Cin. I still like Mailie as the best hitter and catcher of course. Connor just has more to add being a leader as a pitcher/inf/hitter.
