All the Ninth Region teams have now claimed their spot so who is the favorite, who is that huge dark horse, and who is that team that no one wants to play in the first round, but would love to play in the second round.

 

Draw is Saturday morning. District Winners are seeded and can not play the team from their own district until the Championship game.

Favorite is CC regardless of the draw. Dark horse is much easier to assess after we see the draw. Coaches will have big decisions to make re: pitching. Here's what I would like to see:

How about the Baioni's in the first round. Highlands and Beechwood. Hate to be at the next family holiday...

I just noticed that my bracket "wish list" is not possible because NC and Highlands cannot be in the same bracket. So, the pairing choices get somewhat limited. Any way it works out, I see several teams that are much more dangerous in round one than round two. I've got this gut feeling that Ryle and CovCath are the two best teams at this time as they have played the toughest schedules. It would be a shocker if CovCath does not win the region.

I wouldn't be surprised one bit to see a Cov Cath/Conner Championship if this is the draw.

I'd hate to play NCC in the first round after winning the district...

I would like to see NCC and Cov Cath on opposite sides to maybe get a re-match of last years finals.

Since I don't have a dog in this fight, I would like to see Cov Cath- Conner and Ryle- Beechwood. I may not be able to see the second round games so this would make for a good Monday. :banana:
