I'd love to see a rematch in the final. I think the Colonels would like another shot at Conner and the Breds.

A CovCath vs. NewCath final would be great to see. The Colonels have the edge and momentum for sure. But it's BASEBALL anything can happen and it'll be a great tourney for sure!!!!!

CovCath - St. Henry

This situation would be IDEAL for CCH to make their run.

IMO CovCath would rather play NewCath when Isler is throwing. Although if it's a 2nd round game they avoid seeing Connor throwing for NewCath.

I think a CCH-NCC first round matchup would be very intriguing for two reasons. First and most obvious, it is a rematch of last year's championship game. Secondly, it would require CCH to throw Isler in the first round and therefore would make CCH a beatable team in the second round (assuming they advance, of course). Not to imply it would be an easy task, but at least reasonably possible. The way Isler is throwing these days, with him on the mound, I just don't think they are beatable right now.

Ryle, CovCath and Highlands all would love to play St. Henry in their first game and why not, all three teams could then pitch their number two's and beat St. Henry allowing then to save their number one for game two.

 

If St. Henry winds up in your bracket and you don't play them, it is a HUGE disadvantage to your team having to play (if you win) and having to bat against the other teams #1 against your #2....

All the Ninth Region teams have now claimed their spot so who is the favorite, who is that huge dark horse, and who is that team that no one wants to play in the first round, but would love to play in the second round.

 

Draw is Saturday morning. District Winners are seeded and can not play the team from their own district until the Championship game.

Trying to predict the bracket is pointless. The favorite is clearly CovCath but that certainly doesn't mean they are a lock. As a dark horse, I like Ryle, even though they are a district winner I don't think most thought they would get out of districts. A team no one wants to see in the first round but would like to see in the second round...I think you're referring to Beechwood.

I would love to see Isler take the mound against Highlands (also a District winner) in a later round of the region. It would be poetic justice to have him close out his 9th region 3 sport high school career by mowing down the Birds in payback for a couple of not so pleasant evenings spent at David Cecil Memorial Stadium.

Don't count out Dixie. If anything, Dixie has ample pitching that could help them advance through this tournament with three quality left handers. Their offense might not be able to compare but they have already beaten Cov Cath once this year which could give them some much needed confidence in that matchup. It could be possible for them to knock a few teams off and make a run at a title, especially if they get any offense at all.

Don't see it happening. Only legit threats to CovCath are imo Ryle, Conner if their bats are on, and NewCath with Connor on the mound.
