It's a tough call but if you look at the film you'll see the refs did a poor job letting the big bodies play. NCC's Connor took the shot that (preceeded the foul call) should've won the game and you see a Ryle player pulling his jersey. The refs did a poor job protecting the shooters on both sides. There was an NCC player and Ryle player roughing each other and the official called the NCC player when he should have told them to knock it off or hit them both. The call at the end while putting Ryle on the line to win was questionable but let the big guys play a little. Both teams played hard. Refs should sit in the stands they could call a better game from there because they have alot of help!!!!!

I know they have some good players but I think there are alot of good players around which is why I say average. NKY has alot of baseball players that go on to play college ball so I'll say our(NKY) average is better than others. Not knocking anyone at all. IMO the only best at their position in NKY from CC is Mailie

Holmes is the best team in the 9th without question.

Beechwood will be like CovCath and NCC one solid pitcher and average play the rest of the way.

do you mean Newport or Newport Central Catholic? NCC did win the region last year how could they not be very strong???:confused:

I think we're in for a very exciting season in the 9th. Look for a lot of balance without alot of domination. I'm curious to see if the Breds from NCC can repeat. Bellevue will more than likely surprise a few teams this season as they're well coached. How will Boone do with their new coach? They return some talent as well as Holy Cross and CovCath. It's gonna be a great spring!!!!!:dancingpa

NCC returns what some say is the best 2nd basebman/pitcher in the region in Jeramie Connor Nate Rawe IMO one of the best SS Mark kelly one of the best catchers Chris Grosser is extremly fast as how does the rest of the line up shake out? This team will be dangerous and surely a 9th region favorite!

Where do you find stats? NCC has a one of the best free throw shooters around with Connor. Curious to know his % It seems that Stephens from Conner is and Popp from Boone seem to be solid as well.

I heard few comments from some NCC faithful that Connor is a 40% 3 pt shooter but plays are not run to him very often or often enough? Did notice he was 2-4 the Gish kid looked like he could shoot a little. After Pangallo, Connor and Gish the rest of NCC looked scared. It almost looked like Holmes was toying with NCC at times????? Holmes is VERY GOOD!
