Wildcat71 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 (edited) I heard through the grape vine that 2 big men (Jr. to be) around 6'4" transfered to Dayton. One from Sycamore in Cincy and the other from Erlanger, KY. And that both play basketball at these schools. Can anybody confirm this? Edited March 23, 2009 by 5wide Rule 13
The Observer Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Don't take this the wrong way but.......why Dayton?
Wildcatfever Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I expect Dayton to make a lot of noise in NKY this year, and shake up the 9th region All A classic!!
devils09 Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Don't take this the wrong way but.......why Dayton? Why not Dayton, Dayton is coming off and impressive season and they only lost 1 to graduation and he wasnt even that much of a factor last season so why try to being these boys down???
Preachit Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I expect Dayton to make a lot of noise in NKY this year, and shake up the 9th region All A classic!! That is quite an expectation.
buttels Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 That is quite an expectation. I disagree. Dayton had a great turnaround year from 07-08 this year. Adding the possibility of two big men will definately enhance the Greendevils chances at the All "A" as well as districts. They still have a bit of work to do, but tremendous strides made this year with a group that returns the whole roster next year.
20/20Hindsight Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Don't take this the wrong way but.......why Dayton? I don't know anything about this situation, but my assumption would be that they moved to Dayton and are actually planning on playing in the district that they now reside. Aside from atending a private school, what other option would they have, but to attend Dayton if they now live in Dayton?

The way I read into it looked as if the transfers came in for basketball reasons. If that is not the case, then there is obviously nothing wrong with the scenario.
Wildcat71 Posted March 24, 2009 Author Posted March 24, 2009 I think they did just move here. But with a small School where 6'4 kids are rare. We will take them

Uphill Battle Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 As I stated earlier........rumor! Much ado about nothing, and if they did come to Dayton, you can bet the ranch it wasn't for basketball reasons. No disrespect to their coach or team, but Dayton isn't exactly the place to transfer to if basketball is a factor in the residential search. And as for you, preachit, how much do you know about Dayton, so how about you get better informed before placing judgement. Coach Dilts and his staff have made great strides the past few years:irked:
StickerMann Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I expect Dayton to make a lot of noise in NKY this year, and shake up the 9th region All A classic!! That's a pretty big hill to climb? Certainly not impossible, but lots of consistant contenders to pass on the way to the top!!

Uphill Battle Posted March 25, 2009 Posted March 25, 2009 That is quite an expectation. Yep......and hopefully most team have "an expectation" to be successful. And your 22 years gets you nowhere when it comes to knowing this team and their expectations unless you are the coach and/or AD.
