homeofthewhopper Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 don't have stats but Brake had a 3 run HR for Conner and for NCC Connor continued his hot hitting going 2-3. NCC is struggling behind the plate as Conner ran with ease and scored 2 runs on a bad throw trying to pick a runner off 3rd. Conner hit well as a team tonight and will a tough team to beat this year. NCC seems to have a solid team but just wasn't there tonight
Fat Man Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 The final score of this game was 9-2 not 8-2. The Cougars looked like the team everyone thought they were going to be last night. The hits kept coming as they put a beating on the 9th region tournament Champs from last year. Lets hope the Cougars keep the sticks hot for their game Wednesday against a pretty good Ryle squad.
Fat Man Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Any stats on this game? Stats from the Enquirer WP Samad (1-1, 6K's) LP Connor (0-1) Hitting leaders: NC-Connor 2-3; M. Giesler 2B Hitting leaders: C- Roberts 2-3; Pugh 2-4; Noll 2-4; Brake HR, 3 RBI
cooperstown Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Did Jeramie Conner start this game or was he in relief? Very impressive performance by the Cougars if they pounded Conner that hard. If West and Samad can hold down the rotation until Shuttlesworth returns, Conner is going to make a serious run at the region.
Clyde Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 What's wrong with Shuttlesworth? I think Conner hosts CCH today.
homeofthewhopper Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Conner hit the ball very well and yes Jeremy Connor started on the hill. He still doesn't look like he is locating pitches well.
cooperstown Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 What's wrong with Shuttlesworth? I think Conner hosts CCH today. Injured his hamstring in pre-season and apparently out for several weeks. He comes back healthy and pitching the way he can, and West and Samad continue to throw well, and Conner may just become the favorite to beat in the 9th. I believe they can hit on par with CCH.

Dungeon Master Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Its only one game people, its still early.
homeofthewhopper Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 (edited) Its only one game people, its still early. Very true! This season will be very entertaining to say the least!!!! Edited March 31, 2009 by Ram Rule 13
Oscar Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 Yeah I think it's a bit early to say they look like they might become the team to beat. Until the beat CovCath, which is possible if CovCath doesn't start hitting it, I wouldn't jump the gun. IF they do then i'd be willing to say the region will be tough between CovCath, Conner, and NCC.
