Wow, Apollo still is number one after losing to Daviess and losing Fogle to a broken ankle!

Seriously, this is the most perplexing poll of them all. Lafayette moves into the rankings, Eastern hasn't lost since April 11th, and Apollo gets beat twice in the LIT and loses to Daviess this week and still holds the number one spot.

One Northern Kentucky team?

Makes you wonder how early the ballots are completed sometimes.

It is hard to rank teams considering a team is at thier best when thier ace is on the hill. An unranked team might be the best in the state if they have a shut down pitcher on the mound. It is nice to see your team getting ranked but if a team is down to thier 4 or 5 pitcher, the odds of them losing to an unranked team with thier ace on the hill is pretty good.

Lexington and Louisville biased much?

I am not sure how there is a Lexington and Louisville bias. Are Lexington and Louisville coaches the only ones voting? Maybe the Lexington and Louisville teams are really good.:idunno:

Hard to tell who votes. According to the website, they only had 29 people vote. If this is 29 head coaches total, you definately have a small representation of head coaches voting. Especially if 10 of the 29 are from a certain area.

 

I think the poll would be taken much more seriously if you could have a sample size of 75 coaches compared to 30.

Not to mention that Harrison has lost 2 of its last 3 games (@ Henry Clay 1-0 and at home to Tates Creek 9-1) and moved back in to the Top 25 ratings.
