1 Lincoln Co. 2 Southwestern 3 Boyle Co. 4 Wayne Co. Any of these 4 can win it. Anyone else will be hard pressed to Win Regional.

I'll take South Western at home.

I Coached at Oneida a couple years before Franklin arrived. The kids I Coached, Roger Caldwell, Don Grey, David Mills along with Franklin beat Clay Co. in the Dist. Should have won the regional. Ben was a Great High School Basketball player. Having Coached against him I know. People keep leaving Pearl Hicks off their list. I tried to find some stats on him, all I could find was where he scored 31 in Dist. Tourney. Pearl was 6' 7" and could play. Started for WKU.

2 Clay County Greats. Gary Gregory and Pearl Hicks. Both played at WKU both were great High School Players.

Seen several list from Clay Co. How did Pearl Hicks get left off those list. Pearl played at WKU

Mickey Gibson from Hazard and Ike Whitaker from Leslie County were 2 Great ones.

I would add. George Bryant Burnside. Aaron Watts McCreary.

I have watched this several times. Saw Michael Kidd Gillcrest play as a Soph. and a Jr. Saw the big man for Duke play a couple years ago with many more talented players. It is in a Great Venue. Great Teams and lots of College Coaches. Well worth the time and effort.

Great read. Should have picked a 1st round upset. Maybe Somerset over Shelby Valley.

The District, Region and Semi-State runs through NCC. I pick NCC in a tight one. Until someone beats the they are the King in the East.

Look for a close game. Somerset rebounds and win's in last few minutes at Briar Patch.

Speed Kills, going with Danville 21-14, Should be a great High School Game.

2008 Madison Southern lead McCreary Central 35-0 at start of 4th Qt. Watts, Roark and crew stormed back to win on a 2pt. conversion at end of 4th qt. 36-35 has to be one of the biggest come from behind victories in Ky, Football History.

Southwestern will be much improved. I see them at 6-4, 7-3 or just maybe 8-2 with a nice run in play-offs. Larry is a Great Coach and he will have some nice players. We don't need to put too much pressure on him and these kids. Corbin, Pulaski and Belfry are the real deal. Somerset, Wayne and Madison Southern are not chopped liver. So the road will be tough. McCreary Central will have another tough year. With that being said I like what I see them doing with the kids they have working. With 18 to 20 incoming freshmen and the 18 to 20 upperclassmen they have out. Things will be on the rise. It's going to take time to get it turned around. Good Luck!!! I look for 6 to 8 incoming freshmen to play and contribute in a very positive way.

I've know Billy Hicks for many years. From Evarts to Corbin to Scott Co. Have kept in touch for years and watched his teams play all over even in Beach Ball Classic in Myrtle Beach a couple times. Billy is a very nice person and always a Gentleman. He will kick you when on the Court but as a former Coach I wouldn't want it any other way.

Haddix is the new Corbin Coach, Good Luck !!!!!

No relations, have several good ones to go with him, He is playing on a very good AAU Team, they have played in Atlanta Ga. Washington DC. and several other location already this season.

Good Job, you left one of the best incoming freshmen off your list. Hunter Jones from McCreary Central he is real deal and will be Very good in Basketball and Football.

Haddix was offered the job, he is not happy with the way it was handled so all bets are off. I still feel he will take it.

I can remember a lot of good Teams that played with 2 or 3 Guards in line-up. Not a problem in my opinion.:clap:

Easy to kick Uk when they have a down season. I would love to see Davis at Uk. #1 when he put's the jersey on it would mean something and #2 he would stay 4 years. Go Cats!!!
