I don't keep up with middle school much. Who are some incoming ballers from 12th region?

I don't remember a lot of the kids full names but Lincoln County won the Salt River Conference in the 8th Grade. I remember Trey Miller was their point guard and best player IMO.

 

Danville finished runner-up to Lincoln County and they have kids named Bryce, Damaria(not sure if I spelled that right), Christian Hill, David Walker and just gained Jared Southerland also.

 

Boyle County lost to Lincoln County in the semifinals and they should be solid also. Players from that team are Will Bramel, Jason Alexander, Jr., Matthew Bodner, Zack Hodge, Jared England, Sam Tiller(not expected to play basketball anymore but he should), Nate Smith, Daniel Notter, Chase Chadwell and Logan Lynch. The first four kids mentioned played for the Boyle County freshman team also so it will be interesting to see how the experience they gained learning the varsity offense paid off once basketball gets under way in June.

 

Mercer County incoming freshmen I know of are Trey Releford and Garrett Gillespie. It should be noted that Trevon Faulkner(Alcorn) will be a freshmen also and started varsity for Mercer County last season. I think as of now he owns the crown of best freshman in the Boyle, Mercer, Lincoln, Garrard County area.

 

I believe Danny Butt and Steven Fitzgerald(is that right?) will be freshmen for Southwestern next season.

 

 

I believe Somerset will have some very talented freshman as well.

It wasn't intentional. I never saw their middle school so I'm not familiar with what McCreary has. I think Wayne County had a decent 8th grade team as well but only saw them play for about a quarter.

No relations, have several good ones to go with him, He is playing on a very good AAU Team, they have played in Atlanta Ga.

You have some bad info. Hunter plays up at the 15u level with Hoop Dreams along with Danny Butt, Steven Fitzgerald and a couple other 8th graders.

There is another kid from McCreary that is good too and 2 kids from Wayne that were really good. As soon as I get their names I will post them.

 

The incoming freshman class in the 12th region is a very talented group. Southern Middle (SWHS) won KBA state 3 years in a row and Meece (Somerset) was runner up their 7th and 8th grade year. Wayne, McCreary, and Lincoln have very good incoming freshman classes also.

Looks like the uptick in talent in the 12th Region will continue. I look forward to watching all of these kids grow and progress.

I heard a rumor that incoming Danville freshman, Bryce Sloan, is transferring to Boyle County. He'd be a huge addition to the team if that is true.

Don't sleep on Boyle Co freshman PG Jason "Baby J" Alexander. Nice pure PG. When he gets a mean streak he'll be a problem for 12th region foes.
