Best incoming freshmen in 12th region?

Featured Replies

I heard a rumor that incoming Danville freshman, Bryce Sloan, is transferring to Boyle County. He'd be a huge addition to the team if that is true.

Haven't heard of this kid. Can he play?? Good enough to help the varsity team??

Baby J is going to be a nice PG. Haven't seen him play enough to truly judge his game but from what I've seen he has the tools to be a very good PG. Maybe needs to add some strength. Look forward to watching him more next season

Nah, none of the freshmen are varsity ready considering the talent and bodies on the varsity team but he'd add more talent and skill to what I think is a solid group of freshmen. Adding Bryce to this freshman group would be a big blow to Danville and a huge pickup for Boyle. He can play and IMO is the best incoming freshman out of the Danville incoming freshmen.

It is worth noting that the Boyle freshmen will be the freshman team and most of the JV team. Last I saw I think there will be 3 total sophomores in the whole basketball program and I expect all 3 to play JV.

It is also worth noting that the kids love to mess with each other and this isn't the first time a rumor was spread about a kid from Danville coming to Boyle only to find out it was a hoax. PP92 Jr. burst into my bedroom at 11:43pm saying Bryce was coming to Boyle so I told him I'd do some digging and find out if it was true. Bryce is welcome with open arms.

He'll have weightlifting for the first time in his life when school starts. I am excited about watching him grow under the tutelage of Jeff Hester. His frame should support muscle well.

He played 8th grade and freshman ball last season and when playing freshman ball he adapted to the system quicker and better than I thought he would. I probably pick apart his game more than anyone else(:D) and I am still learning to just let him learn at his own pace and remind him that he needs to listen to his coaches. I am very excited that he is at Boyle County and gets to play for Coach Adams and his staff.

And he needs to practice free throws...everyday..

sounds like your the same with Baby J as I am with Hagen. They are kind of similar actually . Hagen was skinny and lanky going into his freshmen year but you could tell he had the frame to put on muscle. Jeff Hester has been great working with Hagen. He's really good at what he does. Baby J has the potential to be a good one. If the pieces come together Boyle Co will be really good next season. Can't wait!!!

Haven't heard about Bryce transferring to Boyle, but his younger brother Aden was definitely transferring to Boyle. He will be 6th grade.

Okay. Thanks for the info. The phones were on full blast today. :lol2: We'd love both but we'll take whichever one we can get. :D

I think you might be on to something.I think Boyle has great support for their academics as well as athletics .

This is very true. I truly enjoy being a part of the Boyle County family and I always welcome all who join it. As I said earlier, Bryce would be welcome with open arms.

I got a chance to watch the incoming freshmen at Boyle play the other day. It looks like Baby J and Bryce have developed some chemistry already. They looked really good on the court together. I'm super excited about the upcoming season!!!!

How old are Butt and Fitzgerald?

They both turn 16 sometime after the 2014 school year begins.

Most freshmen will turn 15 after school starts, not 16. It doesn't matter though, unless kids are athletically superior it only shows in middle. The other kids catch them in high school and you really can't see the difference.

Many freshmen turn 15 almost 2 years after these 2 do if these younger freshmen have a summer birthday.
